Many people are being drawn to their Sacred Partners these days.
Sometimes that could be someone familiar seen in a new light, or a past life connection recognized.
Are you clear on what you want? Are you also considering the hopes, needs, wishes and dreams of the person you desire? Or are you looking for someone to plug into the empty space that aches in your life? Did you ask what their aspirations are? Are you taking time to get to know them? Or pushing an ultimatum, on your terms only?
Do you take into consideration, with events of the last year, that we are all navigating uncharted territory?
Is it love, or a need for control to calm your angst that drives you? Can you be comfortable with uncertainty?
Can you allow the seeds to bud, flower and blossom?
Spring is in the air, complete with intoxicating, fresh scents that reawaken innate memories.
Yet all we ever really have is today, here, now. Can you enjoy the journey and allow love and romance to unfold naturally? Or will your insecurities and demand for commitment cause you to give up and run away?
These are things we should reflect upon and ask ourselves. ❤

DAILY OM ~ January 26, 2015 Useful Transformation: Make Change Work for You

DAILY OM ~ January 26, 2015
Useful Transformation: Make Change Work for You

by Madisyn Taylor

When we experience change in our life we can control our response and reaction to the changes that are happening.

Transformation is a universal constant that affects our lives from the moment we are born until we leave earthly existence behind. At the root of all growth, we find change. Occasionally, change and the circumstances leading up to it are a source of extraordinary joy, but more often than not they provoke feelings of discomfort, fear, or pain. Though many changes are unavoidable, we should not believe that we are subject to the whims of an unpredictable universe. It is our response to those circumstances that will dictate the nature of our experiences. At the heart of every transformation, no matter how chaotic, there is substance. When we no longer resist change and instead regard it as an opportunity to grow, we find that we are far from helpless in the face of it.

Our role as masters of our own destinies is cemented when we choose to make change work in our favor. Yet before we can truly internalize this power, we must accept that we cannot hide from the changes taking place all around us. Existence as we know it will come to an end at one or more points in our lives, making way for some new and perhaps unexpected mode of being. This transformation will take place whether or not we want it to, and so it is up to us to decide whether we will open our eyes to the blessings hidden amidst disorder or close ourselves off from opportunities hiding behind obstacles.

To make change work for you, look constructively at your situation and ask yourself how you can benefit from the transformation that has taken place. As threatening as change can seem, it is often a sign that a new era of your life has begun. If you reevaluate your plans and goals in the days or weeks following a major change, you will discover that you can adapt your ambition to the circumstances before you and even capitalize on these changes. Optimism, enthusiasm, and flexibility will aid you greatly here, as there is nothing to be gained by dwelling on what might have been. Change can hurt in the short term but, if you are willing to embrace it proactively, its lasting impact will nearly always be physically, spiritually, and intellectually transformative.

5 Signs You’re On the Fence And How to Make the Best Choice By Jennifer Hoffman | Enlightening Life

Enlightening Life / Jennifer Hoffman

It’s Day 3 of our Countdown to 2015 and I’m sharing articles from 2014 that I feel are relevant to beginning the new year with a clean slate, free of the past and ready to step forward with clarity, confidence, and a commitment to living in joy.  Today’s message is about choices and decisions.

Does the thought of choosing your life path and making decisions about your reality scare you? Would you rather just wait until the choice was obvious, instead of making the wrong choice? Are you afraid to choose something you’ll regret and then you will be stuck with it forever?

Those are some common fears around choices and decisions and when we have these fears, we don’t make any choices and we ‘sit on the fence’ hoping that everything will work out in the best way possible. Aside from denying ourselves the pleasure and pride that comes from knowing that we are in control of our reality, we delay our movement when we don’t make choices.

As you read today’s article, which was published on March 25, 2014, think about the choices you want to make for the new year. You can choose to be in joy, release fears, create prosperity, manifest a new relationship, or to have confidence in yourself and trust that you always make the best choices in each moment. Write down a few choices you are going to make in 2015 to begin your year being able to choose wisely and confidently.

5 Signs You’re On the Fence And How to Make the Best Choice
March 25, 2014 By Jennifer Hoffman

The expression ‘on the fence’ is used to describe a situation where we are undecided, unsure, confused, or simply overwhelmed by a situation and we’re paralyzed or stuck and can’t make a decision. So we sit on the fence, not making a choice for anything. It’s sometimes easier to be on the fence than it is to be in unknown (or known territory). We get into this type of situation when we

-definitely don’t want one choice but aren’t sure about another one
-believe that each choice is a ‘forever’ proposition and we can’t change our mind once we choose something
-are afraid to move either way because we don’t want to do something wrong
-we’re still upset, angry, or singed from a recent bad experience and don’t want to repeat it
-or we’re just plain angry and this is how we show the world that we’re not going to participate any more.

The good part of being on the fence is we are aware of all of the potential scenarios, at least from a distance. The bad part of being on the fence is that we are standing perfectly still, not making a choice in either direction and we feel stuck. We know we’re stuck and we feel bad about it but we just can’t make up our minds about which way to turn. Does this describe something in your life? How do you know if you are on the fence?

Here are five  signs that  may describe a ‘fence sitting’ situation in your life:

1. You feel really stuck and you know it, but you also feel powerless in the face of what you see are the limited potential choices in front of you. And what you don’t want anyone to know is that you are really afraid to make a choice, so you are pretending that you are taking your time while you assess all of your options.

2. You have already done your best and tried your hardest, and your life is still a mess. So you aren’t going to do anything for now and see what happens next. Since you aren’t able to make a positive difference in your life by trying hard, you’re going to not try at all and see if that works out better for you.

3. The most recent disappointment in your life is still fresh in your memory. You have tried to laugh it off but you are really feeling bad about it.  No one knows how much it has shaken your confidence, in yourself and in your abilities, and you don’t trust yourself any more.

4. None of the options you are seeing in front of you are appealing and they all require too much effort, won’t deliver the outcome you want, and you are having a hard time believing that any one of them could have a positive or desired outcome.

5. You want someone else to make the choice for you, or wait until you have to make a choice because you think that the situation will work itself out and then the best and most obvious choice will present itself to you and you won’t have to make a choice because only one choice will be available.

If any of these situations describe what you are feeling right now, don’t feel bad. We often find ourselves on the fence when we’re faced with an important choice or when we are afraid to make a decision. Being on the fence isn’t the problem, it’s the paralysis and fear that we suffer from when we’re on the fence, which lead to a lack of confidence and trust. Then when we finally have to make a choice, usually because we have waited so long that we can no longer avoid it, the choice is fear-based and powerless, and our results reflect that.

The best way to get off of the fence is to choose from the outcome, not from the choice. We usually don’t know what the outcome will be and since we’re scared, all choices are terrifying. But if we focus on the outcome we want, we’ll start attracting the energy that outcome requires and the choice which matches that outcome will become more clear. It’s possible too that the choice which matches the outcome we want isn’t even one of the choices we’re considering, so getting into the energy of our outcome helps create that energy in our choices. Then we raise the frequency of our perspective, shift the vibration and attract a higher potential outcome because we’re no longer in fear or afraid of making the wrong choice.

– Year to Challenge the Status Quo – by Selacia

With the Earth still sitting at a precipice, hovering like a giant ball between the old and new, it may appear as though nothing is changing in a substantial way. Don’t let these outer appearances fool you! Indeed, plenty is changing and happening here on this planet.

Yes, we are still at a tipping point. That precipice remains a real threat in 2015. We must take notice and act while there is time to change the planet’s destiny.

Humanity needs to come together with a shared vision and act with a new consciousness. Given our long history of aggression and wars, this indeed is a tall order, but this is what we were born in these times to facilitate.

We are no lightweights – we are divine changemakers!

You may already think of yourself as a divine changemaker. That role in fact years ago may have made so much sense that you have been applying your energies to needed inner transformation and to actions in your outer world. Example: as you healed on an inner level, you applied your increased light-filled consciousness to everyday situations involving relationships and work.

Consider inviting your Higher Self to be with you as you read further. Ask for spirit’s view of what the words here mean for you on a personal level. Chances are, over time you may find you resonate with different parts of this article. Idea: place a copy of this 2015 predictions article somewhere handy so you can refer to it again over the coming months.

Encoded at a DNA Level

Remember: we are encoded at a DNA level to be at the forefront of Earth’s massive shifting. We have had lifetimes of preparation to be here now. It was no accident, then, that we were born when we were – so we could stand out front and lead the way. Our groundwork is much vaster than we can possibly imagine. It is fueled in a quantum way by our eternal connection to spirit.

To serve in the highest way at this juncture, our souls incarnated here on Earth in physical form. The idea is to bring spirit into this physicality – our bodies and our expression – actively engaged with the world. That is how we grow spiritually and it’s also how we become powerful agents of positive change.

Consider right now how much growth and change you already have experienced personally. If you are really honest with yourself, it’s probably more than you achieved in most of your previous lifetimes. Earlier historical cycles simply didn’t have that much going on compared to now.

What is Changing

Let’s consider some examples of what indeed is changing in our world. Inequitable power structures and true reasons why we historically have waged war are being seen and seriously questioned by a growing number of aware and educated people across the world. Because of the accelerated awakening under way across the planet, light is now shining on countless issues and imbalances. Much that was hidden is coming out of the closet for all to see!

To be sure, seeing what needs fixing and actually fixing it are two separate things. Example: you notice after getting dressed in the dark that your socks don’t match. If you are still at home when you discover this, you find the matching sock and fix the mismatch. It was easy to fix this very simplistic problem.

For more complex things – especially those involving other people and a myriad of circumstances beyond your control – a radical shift in view and a higher consciousness response are required. Don’t let complexity deter you from engaging actively in situations in need of remedies. The world needs your light and heart-centered approaches – trust this.

The 2012 Effect

As you ponder humanity’s progress to date – looking at what has actually happened and how much has changed – get out your quantum glasses to see the big picture. Linear thinking won’t show you what’s truly going on – it’s too attached to dates like 2012 and other markers when so many people mistakenly bought into the fantasy that our world could shift overnight.

Things are shifting and the changes have been unfolding for a very long time. However, remedying all of humanity’s dysfunctions in place for thousands of years is indeed a process. When we apply linear yardsticks to what is possible, we set ourselves up for a big disappointment.

If you are among those feeling disappointed after humanity failed to have a mass ascension in 2012, it’s time to let that go and move on. Disappointment, after all, is only reducing your frequency and preventing you from fully participating in the most amazing consciousness shift ever undertaken on Earth. It is happening and you are a key puzzle piece in the outcome.

Fate of Earth in Our Hands

Each of us has a role to play in what happens next. The fate of Earth is in our hands. The year 2015 is a time when this truth will be more evident than ever before. It is a time when we are being called to take a much more active role in Earth’s future. At this crucial stage, we cannot afford to sit on the sidelines, waiting for authority figures to discover and fix everything that’s wrong.

Background on Power Structures

Since so much of what needs to shift relates to misuse of power, it’s helpful to understand the background. Power structures – and the conventional institutions established to implement things – were set up long ago based on linear models. They were never functional in an egalitarian way. The models had a hierarchy favoring those at the top.

Consider that in past lifetimes you experienced both sides of this polar opposite equation! Sometimes you might have been a wealthy land owner or ruler. Other times, you might have been a peasant or slave – not allowed to own property or have a say in what happened.

Acknowledge that you probably had a part to play in setting up and administering power mongering systems. Seeing that you helped to create both sides of our current dilemma can help you to be more compassionate and loving as you do your part in remedying things. When you take responsibility for your energies over time like this, you can move beyond blaming the “bad guys” now in charge.

To really change anything, we must see the totality of what needs changing. We must see things from all angles, all perspectives, factoring in the whole and the historical background. It’s not enough to simply elect new leaders who can easily become enmeshed in the status quo of an existing protocol. Voting is important, in the various ways we can vote our ideals, but voting alone without other actions reduces the power we truly have. Similarly, it’s not enough to simply pray for solutions, either, although of course prayers can help. Our energies and actions in the world must be in alignment with our prayers and intentions.

We cannot overhaul a dysfunctional linear world with a linear approach. That’s like putting a small Band-Aid on a huge wound. We must think bigger and outside the box of convention – nothing short of quantum will do!

We are naturally inventive and curious. We can apply those qualities to create and participate in brand-new ways of coexisting on our small planet. Look around – examples like crowd-sourced business models are popping up regularly. Watch for other new models too.

Allow the successes of others out there breaking the mold to inspire you to take risks. Refuse to settle for the status quo simply because you don’t know what else to do and it seems bigger than you.

Impact of 2015 Energies

The energies of 2015 – including planetary lineups and other factors – will catalyze even deeper levels of questioning and greater unrest than we have seen to date. Uncertainty and chaos will continue. These disruptive energies will sit side-by-side with a growing public clamoring for more peaceful and simpler times.

In addition, most people will be feeling an incessant urge to restructure the foundation of their lives. You may feel it even if you have recently made big changes. Why? There could be a symbolic crack in your foundation – some area of your life where you need to get more serious and responsible.

The importance of self-mastery in relationships will remain a dominant theme. Indeed, how you relate to yourself and others will play a key role in how you experience life and how fast you advance spiritually. Tip: keep relationships on your radar and as difficulties arise, do the inner and outer work to keep things in balance.

Another continuing and important theme for 2015: the need to master your use of will and inner fire. Since fire is required to fuel your rebirth, become familiar with how it operates in your life. Finding your balance before acting on your fire will remain one of your essential tasks.

Depending on how those cosmic energies line up with you personally, this year can feel like the push you have needed to step fully into your empowerment and boldly step into unknown territories.

Challenging the Status Quo

In order to effectively meet the energies of 2015, you will need to challenge the status quo on a regular basis. What does this mean?

First, it means challenging your own status quo, questioning how you are used to operating in all kinds of situations. What you will discover is that much of your personal status quo is habitual and hasn’t been questioned for a very long time. Begin an ongoing questioning process now.

Second, it means putting a magnifying glass on the status quo within your relationships and key life activities such as your work. Remember: just because you’ve always done something a certain way, this doesn’t mean it’s the optimal way! Relationships in particular can become troubled when two people come together and aren’t clear in their communications about what they want and what their boundaries are.

Third, it involves questioning more of what you see in the outer world. Many things are not as they appear! Ask the deeper questions other people aren’t yet asking. Refuse to go with the pack of public opinion on things – you want to find your own truth.

Only by questioning convention, becoming informed, and understanding how things operate can you begin to clarify what role you can play in changing what’s not working. That role in 2015 must be more than ideas and complaining about injustices. Your light-filled presence and heart-centered actions are needed. Trust that you will be guided over the coming months to discover what this means for you personally. Know that you indeed have what it takes to not only sustain your forward movement but to thrive in love and joy.

Buddhist Extremist Cell Vows To Unleash Tranquility On West

Buddhist Extremist Cell Vows To Unleash Tranquility On West

News • terrorism • religion • News • ISSUE 49•47 • Nov 20, 2013

A representative from the extremist Buddhist group Kammaṭṭhāna
warns of a “coming storm” of spiritual oneness and enlightenment.

WASHINGTON—In a 45-minute video posted on Tibetan websites Thursday, Tsuglag Rinpoche, leader of the Buddhist extremist group Kammaṭṭhāna, threatened to soon inflict a wave of peace and tranquility on the West.

Speaking in front of a nondescript altar surrounded by candles, burning sticks of incense, and a small golden statue of the Buddha, Rinpoche did not specify when or where an assault of profound inner stillness would occur, but stated in no uncertain terms that the fundamentalist Buddhist cell plans to target all Western suffering.

“In the name of the Great Teacher, we will stop at nothing to unleash a firestorm of empathy, compassion, and true selflessness upon the West,” said Rinpoche, adding that all enemies of a freely flowing, unfettered state of mind will be “besieged with pure, everlasting happiness.” “No city will be spared from spiritual harmony. We will bring about the end to all Western pain and anxiety, to all destructive cravings, to all greed, delusion, and misplaced desire. Indeed, we will bring the entire United States to its knees in deep meditation.”

“Wisdom and virtue to America!” continued Rinpoche.
“Wisdom and virtue to all living things on earth!”

According to reports, Rinpoche stressed throughout his address that Kammaṭṭhāna soldiers would continue waging a tireless holy war on Western feelings of emptiness and negativity for as long as necessary, noting that “a jug fills drop by drop” and that “it is better to travel well than to arrive.”

The extremist leader specifically criticized the United States for its “blatant disregard of karmic balance within the universe” and ominously claimed that Americans will “one day soon” experience the highest form of metaphysical equilibrium through a union of both body and mind. Rinpoche also said all Western nations would “pay a heavy price in negative thinking and self-doubt” if they do not immediately engage in serious introspection and true spiritual liberation.

Sources confirmed the video then featured an uninterrupted 19-minute clip of water quietly flowing between rocks in a small forest creek.

ABOVE: Watch a short clip from the Kammaṭṭhāna’s 45-minute video.

“From New York City to London, Madrid, and Paris, we will not cease until every major metropolis is left in a state of total nirvana,” said Rinpoche, brandishing a pink lotus flower before claiming that Kammaṭṭhāna will seize any opportunity to aggressively instill a deep-seated sense of oneness in all Westerners. “We offered the unenlightened governments of America and Europe a chance to embrace the Eightfold Path, but you have refused. Now, we have no choice but to impose a peaceful spiritual reawakening upon you.”

“And if you think even for a moment that we will ever relent, remember this: Thousands of candles can be lit from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened,” Rinpoche added. “You have been warned.”

Kammaṭṭhāna, a radical Mahāyāna Buddhism movement, was founded in Nepal in the late 1970s with the explicit mission to spread a fundamentalist interpretation of the Four Noble Truths to all nonbelievers. According to experts, the multinational organization operates somewhere in a remote region of the Himalayas, though the current whereabouts of Rinpoche and Kammaṭṭhāna’s other high-ranking members are reportedly unknown.

Kammaṭṭhāna first came to international prominence in 1997, when five of its members boarded a New York City subway car and held 42 hostages in a state of transcendent serenity for seven hours while performing atonal syllabic chants. The group then claimed responsibility for a severe 2004 outbreak of interconnectedness in central London, later traced to a 23-year-old Kammaṭṭhāna sleeper cell operative who sat cross-legged in Trafalgar Square and read aloud from The Gateless Gate collection of 13th-century Zen koans.

Kammaṭṭhāna claims to gain “thousands of newly reincarnated followers each day” and is reportedly known to recruit many young Buddhists from around the world, training them in tranquil insurgency tactics at covert monasteries across Eastern Asia.

“I want to assure all Americans that we are fully aware of these threats from Kammaṭṭhāna, and they will not be taken lightly,” acting Secretary of Homeland Security Rand Beers said at a press conference shortly after Rinpoche’s video surfaced, adding that several U.S. cities have been placed on high alert and authorities are watching closely for any suspicious peaceful activity in densely populated areas. “We do believe that Kammaṭṭhāna currently possesses the means to inflict widespread balance in the collective subconscious of an American city. However, we are doing absolutely everything in our power to prevent that from happening.”

“The danger of total enlightenment is very real,” Beers added. “And we must be prepared.”

At press time, sources confirmed that President Obama has authorized a preemptive strike on Kammaṭṭhāna and deployed a fleet of predator drones to bomb Tibet.

Hopefully by now, readers realize that The Onion is a spoof website,
even if Mitt Romney didn’t realize it, and went around telling people
that Obama promised new iPhones in exchange for votes.
(God knows we really need to wake up NOW! Turn off the bad,
brainwashing news, shut off your phones, get out in nature and meditate!)

“Some thoughts to ponder, especially for people newly awakening to the sham of consensus reality on this planet:

It’s very tempting to jump from one certainty to a complete rejection of that “certainty” and replacing it with another rigid, absolute “truth.” I see this happen all the time. It’s one reason ex-smokers tend to be most intolerant of smokers and why ex-fundamentalist Christians so often become fundamentalist New Agers … or why people who find some conspiracy theories turned out to be true often run through a phase in which they knee-jerk reject everything mainstream and swallow everything alternative. This dynamic gets people into trouble and makes them easy pickin’s for manipulation and psyops. Learning to face uncertainty brings challenges, but “Knowing that you know nothing is the beginning of wisdom.”

“I spent a lot of years trying to outrun or outsmart vulnerability by making things certain and definite, black and white, good and bad. My inability to lean into the discomfort of vulnerability limited the fullness of those important experiences that are wrought with uncertainty: Love, belonging, trust, joy and creativity to name a few.” ~ Brene Brown

“It is in the admission of ignorance and the admission of uncertainty that there is hope for the continuous motion of human beings in some direction that doesn’t get confined, permanently blocked, as it has so many times before in various periods in the history of man.”
~Richard P. Feynman

I wrote to a friend this morning:

“It is incredible how certain and smug people are about their one little sliver of reality they just discovered. Multi-facets? Unknowns? Oh, no. They have the answers and they don’t even recognize how they’re all being played. Why is it so difficult for people to admit, “I don’t know all the answers to this. I realize there may be hidden factors off my radar, so I will prepare some contingency plans just in case I’m wrong in this moment of smug satisfaction”? Is it because if they admitted to themselves some things they don’t know they might get scared by the vastness of what they don’t know and fear (even healthy warnings) is against their new religion?”

As ironic as it is for me to quote Donald Rumsfeld’s much dismissed comment used to justify another bogus war, he was hiding the uncomfortable truth in plain view when he said: “Reports that say that something hasn’t happened are always interesting to me, because as we know, there are known knowns; there are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns — the ones we don’t know we don’t know. And if one looks throughout the history of our country and other free countries, it is the latter category that tend to be the difficult ones.”

“Unknown unknowns” can be used to shape all manner of public policies, wars, and protocols, because when individuals and/or entire cultures forget or dismiss that there may be unknown unknowns, they leave themselves vulnerable to blind spots and subject to the Hegelian Dialectic of problem, reaction, solution. When we befriend uncertainty, we discover that other options exist! Here’s Joanna Macy sharing the incredible freedom and rewards of uncertainty:”

Clear The Weeds Before you Plant the Seeds | Enlightening Life August 24, 2014 By Jennifer Hoffman

Clear The Weeds Before you Plant the Seeds  | Enlightening Life
August 24, 2014 By Jennifer Hoffman

This is a photo of a pile of weeds in my driveway and the pile was even bigger than that by the time I finished. The weeds were all over the sides and middle of the driveway, and they made my house look pretty bad. Considering that it’s for sale, the view was not very appealing to potential buyers. I’m ready to sell and move, to create a new beginning in my life but the view of the untidy, weed lined driveway, which is the first thing viewers see, was highly unattractive. Before I could plant the seeds of my new beginning, I had to pull the weeds that created an unpleasant and unattractive perception about the house (which is really lovely on the inside) to someone who would be interested in buying it. My weeds were sending the wrong message and getting in the way of the seeds of the new beginnings I want to create.

If you’re a gardener, you know that seeds are planted in clean, freshly turned soil. Can you imagine planting seeds in a big patch of weeds? They probably wouldn’t grow well and if they did, the weeds would soon choke out the new plants. So why do we try to plant the seeds of our new beginnings before we clear out the weeds of our past? There are lots of reasons — we are ready to move away from our current situation right now and pulling weeds takes time, energy, and effort, we don’t want to deal with the weeds, it’s too overwhelming because there are too many of them, or we hope someone else will do it or they will disappear by themselves. These are all good arguments but they’re our weeds and we need to take care of them because they don’t pull themselves.

Weeds have a way of springing up suddenly and in surprising places too. I had patches of weeds growing out of the tiny cracks in my driveway. How did they get in there?  And they grow quickly — some of them were over 2 feet tall and I don’t remember them being that big until this weekend. They are also a distraction, shifting our attention from the promise of a new start to the reminders of what we still haven’t finished. Once they’re gone, so is the distraction. Are there weeds in your life that are distracting you and need to be pulled?

The other downside of weeds is that other people notice them too. They aren’t hidden from view, no matter how hard you try, and people see your weeds before they see you. They may give others the wrong impression about you, in the same way that my weed-choked driveway did not match the interior of my tidy, lovely home. Weeds, which include your confusion, fears, and doubts, drain your energy and prevent others from seeing the beautiful, powerful person that you are. Instead, they see the things that bother you, that you have not taken care of, things you are not paying attention to, or where you are not living up to your potential. And that’s the message they send to you too.

Here are some of the signs of weeds in your life, and how you can get rid of them so the seeds of your new beginnings are free to take root, grow effortlessly, and prosper:

1. You start noticing things that are ‘wrong’ or that bother you about your life. These are the weeds that are standing in the way of your new beginnings and they’re waiting for you to pull them out.

2. You feel unsure of your next steps, you worry about repeating the past, or you can’t figure out what to do next. You are ready to plant your new seeds but have nowhere to put them because the weeds are in the way. This is a choice, live with the weeds or clear them out so your new seeds have a place to grow.

3. You feel overwhelmed by how much you think you have to do to reach your goals. The weeds are all you see right now and there may be so many of them you don’t know where to start. Just begin with one because the job does go faster once you start, but if you don’t start you will never finish.

4. You are worried about what others are going to think or say about your new beginnings and don’t feel supported in your choices or decisions. Everyone else sees your weeds too and since they block the full view of your power, they probably are wondering how you’re going to accomplish your goals, as you do, because all they can see is the weeds.

5.  You don’t know where to plant the new seeds because you have never done this before. It’s sometimes easier to live with the weeds than to take on the responsibility of the seeds of new beginnings. You may find some help In my article on Beginnings, Endings, and Closure, available here, which describes how we give ourselves closure by allowing endings to happen. New beginnings can be scary but they show up when we are ready for them and we are finished with where we are, even if we don’t know what’s next.

Once we are ready for new beginnings, we no longer want to give our time, energy, and attention to what we wish to leave behind, even though the desire for change makes us very aware of the ‘weeds’ in our life. While pulling weeds may not be your favorite thing to do, if you don’t take care of them, they will choke out the new beginnings you are trying to create. Pulling them takes time and effort but once they are gone, new beginnings can really be fresh starts and we won’t have the distraction of weeds to limit our view of the new potential we are creating for ourselves.

Walking Meditation

Walking Meditation
by Phoenix Boulay

Its a cold, overcast day. Work has been scarce lately. It’s as if the whole world is taking an in-breath, and holding…

I am going to have some soup, dress warm and go walk in the trees of the vast Arboretum, and breathe in the beauty, breathe out my gratitude. ❤

Things are not always as they appear. In the cold early days of Spring, seedlings remain underground. Leaves have yet to unfurl. Flowers bud, but are reluctant to blossom.  All is well. All is well in my world, as below the surface, new life is stirring. All is well in my world, as we shift the paradigm. It’s a New Moon, and I will commune with nature today, knowing that the sun will shine again, soon. Blessed I AM~!
