DAILY OM: Hawk Medicine: The Power Of Perspective
by Madisyn Taylor

Using our spiritual vision, we can look deeply into the inner light that guides us, seeing clearly
what is not visible.

Hawks have the power to soar high above the earth, giving them a perspective previously only available to the inhabitants of the heavens above. Because of this, people from various cultures throughout history have seen them as messengers of spirit, bringing wisdom from the heavens and the value of their higher vision down to earth. From their vantage point, riding on the wind and sunlight, they remind us today that there is a bigger picture to be seen. When we get bogged down with the details of what is right in front of us, hawks help us remember that we are part of a larger plan and that everything fits together beautifully and perfectly. Once in this expanded frame of mind, we can harness their reputation as visionaries, using their keen eyesight to focus on the exact spot that truly needs our attention. With inspiration and focus on our goal, hawks teach us how to interpret and then follow our personal vision.

Hawks were thought to be able to look directly into the sun and see what is not visible to the rest of us. Using our spiritual vision, we too can look deeply into the inner light that guides us, seeing clearly what is not visible unless sought: our personal truth glowing within us. With that knowledge, we, like the hawk, can confidently ride the winds of chance, moving as one with the flow of whirling energy. This ability is what inspired the Egyptians to make hawks the hieroglyphic symbol for the wind.

The hawk’s ability to live on land but visit the sky is a good reminder for us all. They remind us that their strength and survival comes from communing regularly with the spirit and bringing the guidance received into earthly affairs. Soaring in the province of the heavenly bodies of the sun, the stars, and the wind that moves the clouds reminds us to consider a larger perspective, one that inspires us to move through the world we inhabit with strength, certainty, and grace.

How to Create New Experiences: Expanding Our Options by Ailia Mira | Expect Wonderful

Morning Reflection, 17 April 2018

Lately I’m learning how to believe in some new desires. Desires that feel to me that they’re showing me how my life could be more fun, more abundant, more an echo of how I want to feel. Desires which I love the idea of, but which feel in many ways far away, out of reach, or even, truth be told, highly unlikely.

I realized that the first thing to do, which I hadn’t done, was to decide to embrace these desires.

Willingness to receive, allow, embrace our desires is a key to them being realized. Until we embrace them, we’re often in resistance to them.

I’ve been all over the place with regards to these desires. Resisting them because I couldn’t yet believe that I could succeed in allowing them.

Today that began to change in a significant way. I tuned in to all that I am and expressed my willingness to learn how to believe in these new experiences I feel I want. I spent some time thinking about these desires and reminding myself that:

– I’ve learned to allow other things that were new and initially seemed impossible;

– I know how this works – conscious creation – and I can bring that skill to this part of my life;

– I have allies (Smile) I have the non-physical world supporting me, loving me, willing to assist me in allowing this and I can allow support in this new life coming to be, too.

Having done this, now, I’m focused on feeling good and feeling relaxed. I want to notice early signs of tension and soothe, breathe, shift – not let that momentum get going too much. And when it occurs to me, I want to deliberately think about what I want – instead of what I don’t want – and aim to think about it in ways that expand what I am willing to believe I can allow. Meaning – for starters – I am going to be rather general about all this and also pay attention to how I think when I feel it.

I can use the simple general statements I’ve used before for other things. I don’t have to reinvent stuff, I can go general, as I’ve reliably done before. I can allow myself to think things like:

– I want to expand. I love expansion. It feels good to me when I experience new and wonderful things. I can let more of that happen in my life. Expansion is natural and feels good.

– I love feeling good. Feeling good is pleasure in and of itself. If I focus on feeling good this day will be easier and nicer and fun things will happen.

– I am doing extremely well. I am on the right track. Look how far I’ve come?

– Many things I used to think were not possible, are now normal and natural for me. I am flexible and I am excellent at creating my reality more and more to my liking.

– I can handle this. Nothing is really a big deal here. I can start where I am and gradually discover new ways to feel and think that serve me and shift me into resonance with what I want to know next…

Etcetera.

It never goes away, does it? The importance of noticing how we feel and cultivating thoughts that serve our aims. Because we’re creating our lives actively in the present, expanding into new beliefs about what’s possible takes deliberate focus.

Creating new connections in our brains between thoughts that are in sync with what we want, requires active focus on what we want and thinking thoughts that can make that real for us. This can get to a point where it feels good and release endorphins and then we can think we’ve done it. But I know from experience that is just the first step. The real change happens when I build new pathways in my brain, establish new ways of thinking about myself and my life, as beliefs. To establish new beliefs, beliefs that serve what I want, I have to repeatedly think about what I want in ways that feel good, possible, easy, available, and do this until it feels natural and fun and easy and until I feel deeply satisfied and joyful in the thinking of it.

When we start thinking about the new possibilities and feel eager, excited, happy and as if they’re the most natural thing because it’s simply more of how we’re already feeling? Then we’ve succeeding in changing our mindset and expanding our options for experience. We get to enjoy the feeling of that, and it is reliable as the sun coming up, at that point, that new experiences will begin to show up to echo that inner shift. ❤

NorthPoint Journal: Your guide to planetary energies for March 5 to 11, 2018 By Pam Younghans

NorthPoint Journal

By Pam Younghans

Highlighted Aspects this Week
MON: Mercury enters Aries
TUE: Venus enters Aries
WED: Pluto semisquare Juno
THU: Jupiter stations retrograde
FRI: Last Quarter Moon 3:19am PST (11:19am GMT), Mercury trine Ceres
SAT: Venus trine Ceres, Mercury square Saturn
SUN: Mars trine Uranus, Sun sextile Pluto

HAVING COMPLETED their journey through the heart-opening realms of other-worldly Pisces, both Mercury and Venus enter the vivid landscape of forthright Aries early this week. This move from the twelfth sign to the first may be the most abrupt of all sign changes, taking us from water to fire, from lessons of compassion and completion into learning about courage and initiative.

As Mercury makes this shift on Monday, it will inspire many to take action on their words. The upcoming “March for Our Lives” set for March 24 in Washington, DC, is a prime example of the type of activity supported by Mercury in Aries. In general, communications are more direct and less conciliatory under this influence; words can fly from our lips before we realize what we’re saying.

Although it may be hard to do so in the middle of a proclamation or a diatribe, we are advised to remember that Mercury will be going retrograde on March 22. Anything we say off hand in the next few weeks will quickly come back to haunt us. Boomerang karma, anyone?

WITH VENUS entering Aries on Tuesday, our values and priorities also go through an adjustment. Instead of letting Piscean sensitivity and understanding motivate our interactions, we are driven by the Arien desire for excitement and immediate gratification.

This shift will affect all areas that are ruled by Venus — love relationships, what we do for pleasure, our aesthetics, financial dealings, partnerships, and alliances. In other words, over the next three weeks while Venus journeys through Aries, we are more inclined to spend money spontaneously, and to fall in love just as quickly.

JUPITER stations retrograde on Thursday, which means the planet is basically at a standstill throughout the coming week. Whenever a planet pauses in preparation for changing direction, its influence is heightened, so it will be interesting to watch what unfolds.

We’ve already seen some striking examples of the effects of Jupiter’s journey through secretive Scorpio, as the planet holds its magnifying glass on all that has been hiding in the shadows. Since Jupiter entered Scorpio last October, the deluge of revelations has been stunning, giving birth to the #MeToo and Time’s Up movements. In other arenas, investigations into the misuse of power and influence continue, with new truths being revealed on an almost daily basis.

ON A PERSONAL LEVEL, Jupiter’s retrograde phase, which will last from March 8 to July 10, calls us to enter a time of reflection on what we believe in and what motivates us.

In his book Dynamics of Aspect Analysis, Bil Tierney writes that when Jupiter is moving backward, it is “a marvelous time for gaining deeper insights into spiritual or philosophical matters, as wisdom can flow easier from the superconscious and make contact with the conscious self.”

Jupiter’s four-month retrograde phase may have consequences on a broader social level, too, as Tierney goes on to describe:

“By turning within for greater understanding, we may now gain a greater perspective concerning social values. We may feel detached from what is socially expected of us during this period and may reject such pressures in favor of listening to our own inner calling. By examining our social affairs more carefully and deeply, we may judge and evaluate the rightness of such activities according to our own personal, unique guidelines for living. Hopefully, when Jupiter finally turns direct again, we will adopt fresh, new attitudes concerning how we can enrich and elevate our associations with others in our community. Our participation can become more purposeful and fulfilling.”

A SERIOUS NOTE is struck next Saturday, when the Moon aligns with Saturn in Capricorn and both square Mercury in Aries. This may be a time of reckoning for some, coming to terms with the reality of a situation. It is not a good day for negotiations, as communications will feel stilted and unproductive, and there is a tendency to negative thinking.

The atmosphere shifts considerably on Sunday, however, when Mars trines Uranus and the Sun sextiles Pluto. These are very liberating, energizing, and empowering aspects, inspiring us to take risks that may very well transform the course of our lives.

IF YOUR BIRTHDAY IS THIS WEEK: Your inner vision is your guide and greatest ally this coming year. To take advantage of the wisdom that is available to you, first connect with physical reality in some way — through working in the garden, playing music, creating art, or doing another activity that engages your physical senses and enables you to lose track of time for a while. As you emerge refreshed from these experiences, your thinking will be clearer and you will more easily be able to assess the situation from a practical viewpoint, while also accessing your higher knowing of best action.

In light,

Pam

Jennifer Hoffman: Right, Wrong, and The Truth

I recently had a rather heated discussion with a friend who was trying to convince me that I was wrong about something. She was quite irritated that I would not agree with her because as far as I was concerned I wasn’t wrong, I just had a different perspective than she did, which was my truth and it conflicted with her truth.

I also noticed that I wasn’t trying as hard to convince her of my ‘right-ness’ as she was in insisting that I was wrong. This wasn’t about right or wrong, though, it was about truth.

Any time there is a right or wrong in a situation, the real issue at hand is the truth, and whose truth is true.

Some people will go to great lengths to assert that they know best, they are right, and they know the truth. But truth is a funny thing because as much as we want to know ‘the Truth’, all we can really know for sure is what is true for us. Someone else’s truth is theirs alone. We may agree or share an opinion about it but truth, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. And when they ask us to validate their truth, what they are really asking for is validation that they are worthy of our validation, acceptance, and ultimately, of our love.

When my friend insisted that I agree with her, I knew it was personal and went far beyond me and this small incident. For her, it one more time that she had to prove herself and her truth and I was one more person who didn’t agree with her. Although I did agree with her in principle, I just didn’t agree with her truth.

Since she was making this so  personal I had to wonder who had made her so wrong in her life that she needed to have her truth validated by hearing me repeat it back to her.

Why wasn’t it enough for her to know her truth and be comfortable with it? Because it wasn’t about her truth, it was about getting me to agree that it was true.

In changing and uncertain times, when the truths that have sustained us for so long suddenly become no longer true, we need to re-establish a foundation where we feel secure and validated. A changing truth can be that someone we love doesn’t love us any more, or the job that sustained us doesn’t need us any more, a friend decides they no longer want our friendship, or we have to acknowledge that we have been living a life that doesn’t make us happy.

We can find a new truth but that isn’t what we really want. We want someone to tell us that we are right, true, worthy and deserving. So we go looking for truth when all we really want is validation, acceptance, and love.

Because that is our greatest need, to be valued and valuable, validated by others so we know we exist and are heard, loved, appreciated and to know that someone, anyone, agrees with our truth. And our fear is that the truth will reveal what we have always been afraid to find out, that we are not worthy, lovable or deserving.

Is it possible to be comfortable with our truth, even if no one else thinks it’s true?

It depends on what it is but since truth is personal, as long as it is true for us, we’re aligned with it, it’s authentic and it makes us happy, that’s the only truth we need to know.

THE ORACLE REPORT: Monday, October 9, 2017

Disseminating Moon Phase:
  communicate, share

Moon in Gemini

Sun: 17 Libra – “a retired sea captain watches ships entering and leaving the harbor”

True Alignments:  quiet time/time for reflection, desire to return to the past in some way, objective analysis of events, looking at options

Catalysts for Change:  excuses, giving in, doing things the old way (old paradigm)

Earth: 17 Aries – “two prim spinsters sitting together in silence”

True Alignments:  taking a step back to consider, opening to new opportunities, strengthening individuality, surpassing what is expected or accepted

Catalysts for Change: false pretenses, placing restrictions on self or others, ageism against the young, unable to allow the new to enter, fighting against the flow, isolation, feeling that one is running out of time

I hope you had a wonderful experience with the highly spiritual energetics of this past weekend’s Black Moon conjunction with the Galactic Center (or when we “touched home”).

When the Sun and Earth reach 17 Libra and Aries, as they do today, we are wise to take time out to reflect and plan.  Quiet and having quiet time for contemplation is important, as both symbols involve themes about time, watching, and recollecting.  The retired sea captain watches the ways of the world – the comings and goings, and the prim spinsters sit apart from anything that is active and progressing.  Thus it is a better day to observe than to act.

Disseminating Moon phase brings us the information that we need as we observe and learn.  New things will enter the field (the harbor), enabling us to expand our perception and understanding today.  The Sun and Mercury just made conjunction, adding extra energy for vital messages and information to reach us.

With this today, we also have Jupiter spending its last day in Libra before it enters Scorpio tomorrow at 9:21 am ET/1:21 pm UT.  Jupiter is completing discharge of 30 Libra – “three mounds of knowledge on a philosopher’s head.”  We are learning from the past and applying new methods, thoughts, and attitudes to the present and future.

It is certainly a “mental” or “cognitive” type of day, which is typical of the Moon in Gemini, but the theme is quite pronounced today.  Negative mind loops may try to take over, as they do when the Moon transits the sign opposite of the Black Moon.  (The Moon is in Gemini while the Black Moon is in Sagittarius – the opposite sign of Gemini.)  This means today is a Black Moon Day, when we tend to react from our most basic instincts, trying very hard to not be hurt or vulnerable.  Issues regarding meaningfulness and acceptance are highlighted (meaning we naturally seek meaning or question meaningfulness, as well as the approval and acceptance of others).  The task is to find meaning and to value oneself as much as others.  This will reach a height tomorrow when the Moon makes exact opposition with the Black Moon.  Understand that emotions are mercurial today, and that people may react from their least wisest selves.  Those with the Sun, Chiron, or Black Moon in Gemini or Sagittarius are most affected by this (and it is representative of the rebirth of self that they are undergoing – embrace the new.)

Archontic energies are more active when the Moon and Black Moon are making angles, so be aware.

We want to be particularly vigilant for synchronicities and signs from nature because these are likely to come rather rapidly.

Today we will practice the art of observing the ways of things, adjusting accordingly while keeping our eyes open for new opportunities.  Today is all about the new, so we will turn that way — away from the shadows of the past, toward the light of the future.

WIN-WIN SOLUTION

WIN-WIN SOLUTION: Let’s all go to a Yoga class and meet halfway. We’ll do Warrior II pose, which is neither standing or kneeling. Seriously, why not?

I did make it to a “Flow and Restore” Yoga class this evening. I have been in the house on the computer most of the time for many days sitting way too much, until today. I had signed up for 2 classes that I canceled on Friday night and Saturday morning.  I was kind of having a Dark Night of the Soul for a few days, and didn’t feel like being around people if I didn’t have to. Almost went to one Sunday, but walked at the pond instead. Almost went last night, but I couldn’t get there in time. Now I feel much better from doing yoga and eating a healthy, spicy meal afterward. ( I went for Thai food, because that’s what my body wanted to feel better. I love Thai iced tea to balance out the heat in the food.)

I actually want to do some more yoga before bed, which is the point of taking classes, to get back into a regular, daily practice. When you stop doing yoga for a long time, then start again, it is not so easy to get back to where you were. Your body protests, and as you breathe into that discomfort, you start to learn about your habits and your what your body wants and needs. To my surprise, I have come to understand it is the long hours at the computer that impacts me the most, not the bodywork on multiple massage clients. It’s all about finding the balance. Balance, that is something I also need to work on more. Sounds like a plan.

(p.s.) Remember, Yoga is for EVERY body. Some clients have told me that they can’t do yoga because “I’ve never been very flexible.” –which is exactly why they need it! The beauty of it is that you are challenging yourself, it is not a competition. Who wouldn’t want to feel better, sleep better, and cultivate better habits?

(p.p.s.) The other benefit of yoga is that is calms one down and helps one gain perspective, because the focus is not out there, it is inside one’s heart.

THE ORACLE REPORT: Thursday, August 3, 2017

Gibbous Moon Phase:
  trust

Moon in Sagittarius/Capricorn 8:38 pm ET/11:38 pm UT

Sun: 12 Leo – “an evening lawn party of adults”

Higher Expression: the present moment, harmonious, dignified, ease, connecting with like-minded people, maturity

Lower Expression: social status and hierarchy, ignorance, avoidance, poor choices

Earth: 12 Aquarius – “people on a vast staircase graduated upwards”

Higher Expression:  processes unfolding, search for meaning and hope for the future, looking at something from someone else’s perspective, seeing variations

Lower Expression:  feeling is being left behind/abandoned, ranking value of things that are inherently equal, feelings of failure

Today’s energetics involve the themes of “our place” or “where we belong” and “home.”

It is very important today to understand that everyone is on their path and to trust our own paths.

Gibbous Moon phase asks that we cultivate or strengthen our level of trust.

This can be hard for a species that has been traumatized (us) because trauma naturally breaches the boundaries of our self-hood.  It causes us to doubt ourselves and our judgment (because with trauma, we try to figure out ways to prevent similar experiences, hoping we can control the uncontrollable about life).  Above all, trauma shakes our faith.

I go into this because the Moon is leaving Sagittarius today, after a couple of intense days with the Black Moon and Saturn.  The Black Moon and Saturn stir conflicts and tugs-of-war.  Ultimately, they are about overcoming fear and starting time over / rebirthing.

Before the Moon leaves Sagittarius, however, we have a blessed opportunity.  The Moon will conjunct the Galactic Center (the Pleroma to the ancient Gnostics).  One might say the Galactic Center is our spiritual “home” in the galaxy.  We have the chance to “touch Spirit” and reconnect.  Remember that this is happening on a day that already emphasizes the themes of place, belonging, and home.

We want to pay close attention to what is happening in our lives and in the world between 1:19 pm ET/5:19 pm UT.  This timeframe foreshadows the Sagittarius cycle beginning December 18 (which will be an amazing lunar month).  This timeframe also will provide some answers, understanding, wisdom, or guidance that we seek.  Pay particular attention to animal sightings.

If your spiritual vision needs improvement, be certain to ask for it.  Higher forces are taking requests.

Today’s energetics are cultured, refined, and dignified.  Take your place because Divine Providence is finding you.

“Trust thyself: every heart vibrates to that iron string. Accept the place the divine providence has found for you, the society of your contemporaries, the connection of events.” -Ralph Waldo Emerson

There is More to Life Than This

There is More to Life Than This

How can we think that this is it?

If you look around you and see the amazing world we live in, the sun, the moon, the stars, the oceans. Everything is so magnificent. We are surrounded by beauty.

An infinite universe, how can we believe we are alone?

With so many billions and billions of planets out there, how can earth be the only inhabited one?

All of these planets are at different stages in their evolution. Therefore, there must be life forms out there, who are more advanced than we are at this present time and also life forms that are less advanced than we are.

Why is it so hard for some people to believe that life forms exist on other planets in the universe?

Why is it so hard for some people to believe that life forms from other planets could have found us already?

I believe they are here and they have re-written history and we have been enslaved by them for thousands of years?

When you see the world from this perspective it all makes much more sense.

The powers that shouldn’t be have been working their way to this time for thousands of years, slowly moving towards their goals, slowly amassing fortunes, and advancing technology for their benefit.

Enjoying the human misery they have created along the way, while we have all been oblivious. We have been manipulated and enslaved for far too long.

We don’t seem aware of the mess we are in.

Normal everyday people are horrified at war, abuse, violence, and death.

We have become so accustomed to seeing it around us every day, in movies, on TV and in real life.

Deep down we still know that it is all wrong; we are not violent, murderous barbaric psychopaths at all.

We are just being controlled by violent, murderous, barbaric, psychopaths.

This is not us; this is not humanity.

There is so much more to humanity than this, so much more.

The psychopaths in charge are not human they are alien beings that came here thousands of years ago. They consist of the Anunnaki, the Greys, the Reptilians and the Archons.

They enjoy murdering children, babies, adults, they enjoy inflicting lifelong misery on everyone, they get pleasure from abusing humans, and they feed off the misery and sadness.

They engage in satanic rituals and they have used every method they can think of to enslave us.

It has worked for a long time but not anymore. There are 7 billion of us and only a few of them.

They want to cull us, to get the population down to a more manageable level.

This I don’t understand if they feed off our misery it should be wonderful for them to feed off 7 billion miserable humans.

Why do they have to cull us?

Maybe there are more happy people than sad people at the moment and they need to get the numbers down so that they can control us more?

Maybe there is too much joy in the world at the moment, despite all their efforts?

They stop us from having too much money, they vaccinate us with toxic poison, they medicate us with dangerous chemicals, they feed us with toxic food, they sell us beauty products full of toxic ingredients, they put fluoride in or water, they spray us with chemicals and yet we still keep multiplying.

Maybe they feel they are losing control?

Maybe we are winning after all, even though most of us are still asleep?

Maybe we have reached the tipping point?

Maybe there are enough of us awake now to make a difference? Maybe they are panicking and getting desperate, throwing everything at us in one last attempt to stay in control?

Maybe they are all quaking in their boots, they know the end for them is coming and it’s coming sooner than they thought?

Is that why they are desperate to leave the planet, is that why they are running and hiding in their underground bunkers?

Humanity has grown up and we have opened our eyes, we have faced the onslaught, we have faced our fears and we have come out the other side.

We are not afraid anymore. We stand together.

They have lost control of us and they know it. We can see what they are doing and what they have done in the past.

They can’t quite believe that they have failed and we have won.

Believe it they must!

DailyOM – Putting Power in Perspective:
Always Be -for- Something

It takes much less energy to be FOR something rather than against something.

As human beings, we cannot help but be subject to our preferences. However, we do have control over the manner in which these manifest themselves in our lives. Every value we hold dear is an expression of either support or opposition, and it is our perspective that determines whether we are for something or against it. As an example of a situation we are all familiar with at this time: We can direct our energy and intentions into activities that promote peace rather than using our resources to speak out in opposition of war. On the surface, these appear to be two interchangeable methods of expressing one virtue, yet being for something is a vastly more potent means of inspiring change because it carries with it the power of constructive intent.

When you support a cause, whether your support is active or passive, you contribute to the optimism that fuels all affirmative change. Optimistic thoughts energize people, giving them hope and inspiring them to work diligently on behalf of what they believe in. Being for something creates a positive shift in the universe, which means that neither you nor those who share your vision will have any trouble believing that transformation on a grand scale is indeed possible. To be against something is typically easy, as you need only speak out in opposition to it. Standing up for something is often more challenging, because you may be introducing an idea to people that may scare them on a soul level.

Throughout your life, you have likely been told that the actions of one person will seldom have a measurable impact on the world. Yet your willingness to stand up for what you believe in instead of decrying what you oppose can turn the tides of fate. The thoughts you project when you choose to adopt a positive perspective will provide you with a means to actively promote your values and, eventually, foster lasting change.

DAILY OM: Seeing The Bigger Picture

DAILY OM: Seeing The Bigger Picture

by Madisyn Taylor

We have created imaginary boundaries, sectioning ourselves into countries and states,
forgetting that in reality we are all living together.

Seeing an image of the planet Earth taken from space inspires awe in many of us, since we can clearly see the connectedness of all of us who live upon this planet. We have created imaginary boundaries, sectioning ourselves into countries and states, forgetting that in reality we are all living together, breathing the same air, drinking from the same water, eating food grown from the same earth. We share everything on this planet, whether we are conscious of it or not, with other people, and those people are our brothers and sisters. Keeping a photograph or painting of the planet Earth in a prominent place in our homes can be a positive way to remember our interconnectedness.

Meditating on the fact that any sense of separation we have from one another is truly an illusion, we will naturally begin to make more conscious choices in our daily lives. The simple act of preparing food, or determining how to dispose of our refuse, can be done with the consciousness that whatever we do will affect all our brothers and sisters, no matter how far away they live, as well as the planet herself. When we foster this kind of awareness in ourselves out of a feeling of awe, it becomes easier to be conscious than to fall back into old habits of thinking of ourselves as separate.

When we contemplate the earth in her wholeness, we attune ourselves to the truth of the bigger picture, which is the Earth, and all of us, every one of us, living on her body. We are connected to one another in the most intimate way, because we literally share our living space. As more people become aware of the reality of our interdependency, things will shift in a positive direction, and much of the discord that we see now will give way to a more cooperative, loving consciousness. This is happening already, so as our consciousness grows, we can join with the many other minds working to live in the spirit of togetherness.
