AS COMPARED to the tornado that was January 2020, the astrological weather in February is much quieter, for the most part. But the issues that have been raised in the past few weeks will be with us for quite a while yet, due to their magnitude and to their important role in our evolutionary process. This month should provide the opportunity to gain some clarity, to see more of the larger picture, and to decide what we want to focus on, that will be most helpful to us in the coming months.

From the astrological perspective, we will be watching the Moon and other planets to see when they “trigger” (reactivate) the energies of the Saturn-Pluto alignment. These are times when we should see new developments related to the original events that occurred in January. This Friday, the Cancer Moon opposes both Pluto and Saturn, at 4:02 a.m. PST and 7:43 a.m. PST, respectively.
THIS WEEK, two planets change signs, shifting our perspective somewhat. Mercury is the first to move, entering mystical Pisces on Monday. Mercury is the planetary representative of our mental state and our conscious, reasoning mind. As it travels through a sign, our overall thinking process can be more influenced by that sign.

Pisces is a very transcendent sign; one of its primary goals is to help us rise above the dramas and traumas of the Earth plane. It is more based in intuition than logic, and more inclined to compassion than judgment.

While the Messenger Planet transits Pisces, it can help us let go of old thoughtforms, old mental concepts that have kept us in a more fearful, less trusting space. We can be more “in tune” with the Cosmos, more open to spiritual and creative insights. We may pick up on what others are thinking more easily than usual, for our sensitivity is heightened. This can also be a very creative time, especially for poets, or those involved in film and photography, makeup and design.

ON THE FLIP SIDE of the coin, Mercury in Pisces can be a time when it’s harder to think logically or with clarity. Decision-making can take longer, since it can be hard to feel grounded in this reality. And, our words are more easily misunderstood, primarily because we expect that others are picking up on the nuances of what we’ve said. While Mercury is in Pisces, we are well advised to stop and do a “teach back,” where we check in with the other person and ask them to tell us in their own words what they heard us say.

Mercury is usually in a sign for about one month, but its transit of Pisces will be quite long this year, and a bit disjointed: It will be in the sign of the Fishes from February 3 to March 4, and again from March 16 to April 10. This is due to its retrograde (backward phase) that begins on February 16, and eventually takes it back for a short revisit of Aquarius from March 4 to March 16.

MERCURY is in favorable aspect to Uranus and Pallas Athene this week. Wednesday is an especially good day for receiving insights through meditation and opening to high-level information from your Divine Self or interdimensional guides. On Sunday, we focus more on finding practical solutions utilizing the insights we’ve gained.

But, Mercury is in hard aspect to Pluto next weekend, so we may deal with inner or outer conflicts as we try to convey our ideas to others. Opinions on both sides of the aisle are passionate. It will be important to remember how powerful words are, that they can be used as tools to either empower or tear down.
THE OTHER PLANET changing signs this week is Venus. As planetary representative of love, beauty, and values, the sign that Venus transits has a general influence on our relationships and finances.

Venus enters Aries on Friday for a four-week transit of the sign. Given that Aries is known for having courage and self-assurance, these qualities are more available to us as we interact with others, and as we decide what has value to us, that warrants an investment of our hearts and monies.

Also on Friday, the dwarf planet Ceres is in hard aspect to Uranus. This can be a time when our individual needs seem to be in conflict with our responsibilities to home and family. With Venus newly-arrived in assertive Aries, we are more likely than usual to face these problems head-on.
OUR FULL MOON for the month of February occurs next weekend, either Saturday or Sunday, depending on your time zone. For those on Pacific Time, the Full Moon perfects at 11:33 p.m. PST on Saturday, February 8; this converts to 2:33 a.m. EST and 7:33 a.m. GMT on Sunday, February 9.

This lunation occurs when the Moon is at exactly 20°00′ Leo, opposite the Sun at the same degree of Aquarius. At the time, both of the “lights” (Sun and Moon) are square the asteroid Vesta, and in favorable aspect to Mars.
A FULL MOON is always about coming into balance, finding ways to utilize the positive influences of the two opposing signs that are involved. Leo is a fire sign, heart-based, eager to connect and to be creatively involved in the Now. Aquarius is an air sign, mentally based, independent, and more detached or progressive, focused on the future.

This Full Moon asks us to find our balance between these two polarities, to be both engaged and present (Leo), but also to maintain a certain amount of detachment, that enables us to move and make progress. The hard aspect to Vesta in earthy Taurus suggests that we’ll need to set aside our need for immediate gratification, to realize that the transformation that is underway is very deep, and not completed overnight.

At the same time, the trine between the Full Moon and Mars in Sagittarius indicates we have access to a new levels of courage and optimism, if we stay present in the moment. We can hold the Aquarian vision of a new, more enlightened future, as long as we realize that our power is in the Now.

ONE LAST NOTE: Mars will be “out of bounds” from February 9 until March 12. We say that a planet is out of bounds (OOB) when its orbit takes it more than 23 degrees, 27 minutes either North or South of the celestial equator, the imaginary extension of the Earth’s equator out into space.

When a planet is OOB, it tends to take on more creative and eccentric characteristics. It can act as more of a wild card, in both positive and perceived negative ways. Annie Oakley, the sharpshooter, had Mars OOB in her birth chart. Her way of using her Mars assertiveness didn’t necessarily sit well with the strict delineations of what was seen as “feminine” in the late 1800s, but she was a trailblazer who left clear footprints in history as a result.

While Mars is OOB over the next four to five weeks, people can tend to be more driven and ambitious, bold and adventurous. There are some who will manifest the shadow, exhibiting more aggressiveness and anger, selfishness and impulsiveness. But, for those who need permission to act more assertively, or to take a leadership role, this can be an especially productive time.

IF YOUR BIRTHDAY IS THIS WEEK: This year, your need for new experiences may be in conflict with your commitment to work and to your comfort level with a certain lifestyle. This is your opportunity to find out what is true for you at even deeper levels than before, or perhaps differently than before. We all change as we move through our lives, and thus our commitments must also change. This year you are challenged to discover whether your work is still authentic to you, or if it needs to be modified in some way. (Solar Return Sun square Vesta)

Aspects of Note This Week
All times listed are Pacific Standard Time. For Greenwich Mean Time, add 8 hours.
MON: Sun enters Aquarius, Venus semisquare Saturn
WED: Sun semisquare Neptune, Sun sextile Chiron, Sun square Uranus
THU: Venus sextile Jupiter, Venus semisquare Ceres
FRI: New Moon 1:41 p.m. PST, Uranus trine Pallas Athene
SAT: Mercury sextile Mars
SUN: Pluto square Eris, Mercury semisquare Chiron, Venus square Mars

THE EXACT Saturn-Pluto alignment, when both planets were at precisely the same degree of Capricorn, is now technically behind us. But major astrological events such as this usually affect us for many months beyond the moment of their perfection. It’s impossible to contain the ripple of waves once a large boulder has been dropped into a body of water. The displacement of energies continues to play itself out for quite a while.

.

And, with so many planets joining Saturn and Pluto in earthy Capricorn at the time of their rendezvous — plus the Lunar Eclipse that occurred two days before — it’s not surprising that we’ve been feeling overwhelmed. The world has been feeling top-heavy, and for some, it’s turned completely upside down.
.
IMAGINE trying to keep your shoulders level while carrying a very heavy weight in one hand, and you can appreciate the effect of having so many planets in one sign. Perhaps you are likewise feeling that your life has shifted out of balance, due to a specific heavy load you are carrying. Or, it may be the sheer magnitude of juggling so much at once that is causing overwhelm.
.
Some of the balls we are juggling are actually filled with light, for there is also magic that we can access now. As Saturn and Pluto dismantle social systems and personal patterns, they are also dismantling time and other constructs that have held physical reality separate from other dimensions.
.

PERHAPS you are feeling “head over heels” rather than feeling that life has turned upside-down. But, whether you feel like you are floating or your feet feel as heavy as lead, it is very important to get plenty of rest and good sleep right now.

.

As physical structures, our bodies are deeply affected by this Saturn-Pluto alignment in Capricorn. Many people are experiencing health issues, often in their joints, bones, teeth, and other bodily systems ruled by Capricorn. While we can bemoan having these symptoms, it may help to remember that these planets are only revealing where there is structural weakness, not causing it.
.
This is our opportunity to clear out what is of a lower vibration so that we can rebuild with higher-frequency “materials.” We can assist the process by raising the vibration of our mental and emotional bodies. One way to do this is by connecting with the light of our Divine Self that resides at the center of our being. Some people imagine this as a pole of light along the spine, or a sphere of light in the heart area.
.
Once we connect there, we can then imagine this light of our Being radiating out, expanding into our physical, emotional, and mental bodies. This can be very helpful in clearing out all that is of a lower frequency, while also providing a higher vibration to be used in the rebuilding process.

.

THE GRADUAL MIGRATION of the faster-moving planets out of Capricorn should help us move beyond some of the places where we’ve been feeling stuck. Mercury moved into Aquarius last Friday, bringing forward new information that shifted our perspective in some way. As a result, we now have a clearer view of the road ahead.

.

This Monday, the Sun also enters Aquarius, supporting us to move beyond restrictions and into a new paradigm. And, Ceres will enter Aquarius at the end of this month, helping us more fully accept, appreciate, and support individual differences.

.

SOME SURPRISES
are again in store this week. The Sun squares unpredictable Uranus on Wednesday, and Friday’s New Moon is also square that planet. This lunation marks the end of the official “eclipse season,” but the Uranus aspects may make it feel like we still are engaged with eclipse-like energies.

.
Sometimes, surprises seem to be arranged simply to keep us flexible. Other times, they are larger in scope – literal or symbolic earthquakes or lightning bolts – designed to jar us out of complacency or a comfort zone, so that we might be liberated in some way. Most of us tend to become creatures of habit over time. One of Uranus’ task is to alter our course so that we no longer travel the same rutted road we are used to taking.

.

THE NEW MOON
occurs at 1:41 p.m. PST on Friday, when the Sun and Moon are both at 04°21′ Aquarius. The square to Uranus is the most significant aspect in the New Moon chart, indicating that the coming lunar cycle is one of continued change.

.

Uranus has been called the “god of chaos,” and we often see somewhat chaotic situations occurring when it is activated. B
ut it also has higher vibrational qualities, revealed through the translation of the Greek word Ouranos (Uranus), which means “the sky crowned with stars.”

.

Astrologer Liz Greene writes that Uranus “reflects our universal human longing to know where we are going and why.” She acknowledges that:

.

“Many people find it difficult to express Uranus, for they are required to detach themselves from their immediate emotional needs and look toward a bigger future design … Yet if we avoid expressing Uranus, its creative power will erupt into our world in spite of
us – through change that we unconsciously need, and in some cases even provoke, but which we may experience as personally devastating when it arrives. The heavenly vision of Uranus may sometimes feel impersonal and cold, yet it offers us greater freedom through a new and broader perspective on our lives.”

.

THE DIVERGENT ROAD that we start to walk with this Aquarian New Moon is likely to take us into unknown territory, where we continually need to broaden our perspective. We may also feel very strongly about certain issues, given that the Moon is aligned with the fixed star Alshat. Roderick Kidston writes that Alshat “prompts an urge to stand for something,” but that it also conveys great strength and courage.

.

This new lunar cycle will inspire many to take a stand, speak loudly, and perhaps even demand to be heard. How we each use this influence depends on our core values, and how we want to direct its powerful energies.

WEBINAR ANNOUNCEMENT

After the Tornado
Airing Live and Recorded for Replay
Thursday, January 30, 2020
4 pm PST | 5 pm MST | 6 pm CST | 7 pm EST | 12 midnight GMT

AS THE FIRST SCENES of “The Wizard of Oz” unfold, a tornado upends Dorothy’s world. It is the beginning of her hero’s journey, through which she eventually discovers how strong she truly is. Along the way, she encounters like-minded souls and gains a new sense of connection and community.
.

We’ve been talking for months about the astrological tornado of January 2020. During a single week, from January 8 to 15, an amazing number of significant planetary events occurred, clustered around a powerful Lunar Eclipse and the alignment between Saturn and Pluto.
.

IN THIS 90-MINUTE WEBINAR, I will first talk about how our experiences in January relate to these astrological events. This review is important to undertake, because our path through the rest of 2020 directly relates to what occurs in January.
.

From there, we’ll “ease on down the road” and explore in more depth the primary opportunities and obstacles we’ll encounter in the first half of 2020. Highlights include:

  • Jupiter’s alignments with Pluto, when spin-off tornados may occur, but we also have the opportunity for deep systemic change
  • Saturn’s entry into Aquarius and return to Capricorn, demanding progress and requiring completion of the old
  • The shift of the nodal axis into Gemini/Sagittarius, adding another level of karmic completion and evolutionary growth into the dynamic
  • The alignments of Pallas Athena with Jupiter and Pluto, inspiring new solutions and the empowerment of the feminine

Before the class airs, you’ll receive calendars of January through June, which you can use for note-taking. During the last half of class, we’ll move week-by-week through each monthly calendar, noting when there are important events. As always, I will do my best to “bring the stars down to Earth,” explaining in practical terms what the planets are doing, how they may affect us, and how we can best navigate these times by focusing on higher purposes and our own capacity for spiritual maturity.
.

I hope you can join us! If you can’t attend live, the class is recorded for replay at your convenience. All registrants receive an email with a link to the replay, audio replay, and PDF slideshow.

IF YOUR BIRTHDAY IS THIS WEEK:Each time we think we know ourselves, we are then challenged to further refine our self-awareness. Over the coming year, you will experience yet another phase of self-redefinition. The urge to speak your truth is stronger than ever, and yet it can cause conflict and separation if you are not alert to right timing. If those who hear your ideas are not truly receptive, your words will fall on “deaf ears,” and your frustration will grow. Your unique insights and perspectives are needed, but you will need to apply discipline and foresight to how and when they are shared. This is not manipulation; it is being truly in accord with your inner guidance, which knows best timing for all endeavors. (Solar Return Sun square Uranus)

THE ASTROLOGICAL WEATHER continues to be incredibly stormy. Over the course of today and tomorrow, January 12 and 13, we are experiencing the exact alignments between Saturn, Pluto, Mercury, the Sun, and Ceres. We may be clearly aware of the effects of this planetary tornado in our personal lives, or we may be feeling the tension more empathically, through our heart connections with significant others, or simply because we’re all linked through mass consciousness.

At times of overwhelm, our choices of what is important often become clearer. And those who are facing the challenge of a literal storm in their environment right now – whether floods, fires, or earthquakes – may be needing to quickly make decisions about what they want to pack and what can be left behind.

For those of us who are not in such critical times on the physical level, we are likewise being compelled to consider what is most important, and what can be discarded. It may be an attitude, a fear, or a way of reacting that we sense is no longer needed, that is actually causing more harm than good in our lives.

I MENTIONED last week that we are in historical times. Saturn and Pluto represent the principles of authority and power, respectively. When the two planets align at the same degree of the zodiac, every 35 years or so, we often see tensions rise between nations, or between peoples and their governments. We also see similar developments at other pivotal times in the Saturn-Pluto cycle, when the planets are in hard aspect with each other.

To follow the historical thread, personally and collectively, here are the significant dates within the Saturn-Pluto cycle that ends today: November-December 1982 (conjunction); March 1993-January 1994 (waxing square); August 2001-May 2002 (opposition); and November 2009-August 2010 (waning square).

ALTHOUGH we can point to significant global events that occurred around those dates,  they were also times of personal shifts for most of us. Saturn and Pluto bring about circumstances – large or small – that can feel overwhelming or fearsome, primarily because they are outside our control. These situations may come through a decision we make, such as moving to a new location or starting or ending a relationship, or they may develop without our conscious choosing.

One of the higher purposes, now and each time that Saturn and Pluto interact, is to help us find a new level of inner empowerment and authority, one that is not defined by outer circumstances or even our own habitual reactions. It can be hard not to crumble when life appears to be falling apart – and, sometimes, the emotional or physical collapse can be an essential step in the process. But, ultimately, we survive – and we can even thrive, if we allow ourselves to take that next step in personal empowerment and internal authority.

IN SPITE of circumstances that may seem outside our control during this Saturn-Pluto alignment, we always have a choice of where to put our attention. We can dwell on that which raises fear in us, or we can dwell on that which increases our capacity to love. An open heart is where true empowerment and inner authority are found.

Ceres and Charilko can help us with that goal. These two planetary objects are also aligned with the group of planets in Capricorn right now. Their energies are intricately involved in what we are experiencing – it’s just that it takes some effort on our part to hear their quieter voices, which are too easily drowned out by the loud clangor of Saturn and Pluto.

The dwarf planet Ceres represents our capacity to nurture, both ourselves and others. As Earth Mother goddess, Ceres cares deeply for the Earth, for children, for nature, and for animals. It is during times of environmental crisis that Ceres’ voice is the loudest. As she aligns with Saturn and Pluto in responsible Capricorn, she calls us to reprioritize our values, to put the security and survival of our planet and its inhabitants at the top of our agenda.

CHARILKO is also empowered now, being just two degrees away from Saturn and Pluto. Named for the wife of Chiron, this centaur* is seen as a supportive midwife for our process of healing. In her research, astrologer Melanie Reinhart has found that Charilko has “a gift for creating or holding sacred space, the ability to witness and facilitate transition, the silent power of receptivity, and the strength of Being.”

With the strength of Saturn and Pluto to support her, Charilko offers us greater access to these qualities than we might have had before. Through this alignment, we can more consciously hold the sacred space for a new world to emerge from this time of transition. But first, we must become the midwife who is not overwhelmed by the process of birth, but has taken on the task of facilitating it. As we come to center, soften the fear response, and open our hearts, we gain clarity not only about what we most value, but also about the kind of energy we want to contribute to the planet and all life at this critical juncture.

MERCURY, the Messenger Planet, is also part of the planetary lineup in Capricorn. This means that communications are a strong theme now. Words carry extra power, so be especially mindful of your intentions, as well as how your spoken and written words might be interpreted. Our motivations must be very clean, because we’ll quickly see the results of any missteps.

We might think of this as being similar to a Mercury retrograde phase, when caution is advised in all matters that involve the sharing of information or ideas, especially if our words could be construed as being judgmental (Saturn) or manipulative (Pluto).

CONFRONTATIONS are possible this week, especially on Tuesday and Wednesday, when Mars is in hard aspect to Pluto and Saturn. The exact square between Saturn and disgruntled Eris occurs on Thursday, another indicator that tensions could increase midweek.

However, we can also feel some movement out of places where we’ve been stuck, thanks to Mercury’s shift into Aquarius, also on Thursday. In the positive, Mercury in Aquarius can help us think outside the box, and assists us in conceiving progressive ideas and solutions. But, we can also be a little more scattered mentally, or impatient when things aren’t improving fast enough. That tendency is increased on Saturday, when Mercury is in hard aspect to Uranus. Next weekend could be a great time for brainstorming; we just are advised to wait to implement any plans until we also check out their practicality.

AND REMEMBER, throughout this week and for the rest of January at least, how important self-care is now. Whether we’re aware of it consciously or it is beyond our level of awareness, we are each navigating some truly profound energy shifts.

Please take the time to rest, to nurture yourself, and be likewise kind to others. Know that as much stress as you are feeling, others are feeling it, too. Be gentle, and allow your heart to guide your words and your actions. What “needs” to be said or done immediately may not look as crucial after we’ve slept on it – and, by the next day, when emotions are calmer, we may find it easier to hear the soothing voices of Ceres and Charilko whispering in our ear.

As always, I will do my best to “bring the stars down to Earth,” explaining in practical terms what the planets are doing, how they are likely to affect us, and how we can best navigate these momentous times by focusing on higher purposes and our own capacity for spiritual maturity.

I hope you can join us! If you can’t attend live, the class is recorded for replay at your convenience. All registrants receive an email with a link to the replay, audio replay, and PDF slideshow.

TO REGISTER: Visit https://pamfeb-june2020.eventbrite.com. The class fee is $33. Payment and registration may be handled online via PayPal or by check to Elsie Kerns, 2007 Rabbit Run Rd., Marlton, NJ 08053.

IF YOUR BIRTHDAY IS THIS WEEK: Since early October, you have been working with some profound planetary energies. You may be feeling especially passionate about a new course of action, but also somewhat cautious. If you were on the planet in 1980-82, you no doubt experienced a major shift in your life during those years; you can consider 2020 to represent your next step in personal empowerment. You are being asked to consider how you want to claim your passion or your mission, whether it be through a career move or a shift in your personal life. Throughout the coming year, you will have a stronger sense of what will work and what no longer works. This greater objectivity will inform your choices going forward. (Solar Return Sun conjunct Mercury, conjunct Ceres, conjunct Saturn, conjunct Pluto)

In Gratitude and Light,

Pam

NorthPoint Astrology Journal: Your weekly guide to planetary influences September 30 to October 6, 2019 by Pam Younghans

Aspects of Note This Week
All times listed are Pacific Daylight Time. For Greenwich Mean Time, add 7 hours.
MON: Venus square Pluto
WED: Pluto stations direct 11:38 p.m. PDT
THU: Mercury enters Scorpio 1:14 a.m. PDT, Venus opposite Eris, Mars enters Libra 9:21 p.m. PDT
SAT: Mercury quincunx Chiron, Mercury semisquare Jupiter
SAT: Sun square Nodes, Mercury opposite Uranus

PLUTO reigns over the heavens this week, and over our earth-plane experiences as well. Pluto is the Great Revelator, god of the Underworld, agent of Divine Will, and arguably the most powerful change-maker of the solar system, in spite of its demotion to dwarf planet status in 2006.

Pluto’s strengthened influence this week is because it comes to a standstill on Wednesday. It is completing its five-month retrograde phase (which began on April 24) and preparing to move forward once again. As I’ve written before, when a planet comes to a standstill to change direction, its effect on our lives is heightened–similar to the way in which we feel a train’s vibration more intensely when the locomotive has come into the train station and is standing still, engine running, right in front of us as we stand on the platform.

IT’S ALSO been my experience, in observing both my life and the lives of my clients, that we start to work with upcoming Pluto transits as soon as the dwarf planet goes direct and sets its sights on the road ahead. In other words, if you will be working with a major Pluto transit in 2020, even if the exact transit is many months from now, you may start feeling its influence as early as this coming week.

(If you have your natal astrology chart: Check your chart for planets and points between 20 and 26 degrees of cardinal signs–Aries, Cancer, Libra, or Capricorn. These planets/points will be receiving a direct Pluto transit over the course of the next 15 months.)

This also means that the energies of the Saturn-Pluto alignment, which perfects on January 12, 2020, are going to start strengthening now, and increasing with each week that passes. We’ve already been working with bits and pieces of this life-altering/paradigm-changing influence since early 2019, but now is when we begin to see even more clearly what issues we will be dealing with, that will ultimately transform the landscape of our collective experience.

I’VE CHOSEN today’s image of crumbling bricks because it represents one of the ways that Pluto in Capricorn can manifest–through the dismantling of structures, systems, and foundations that are outdated, out of integrity, and no longer adequate to meet the needs of the greater good. These systems may be social or governmental, or more personal.

In many ways, Pluto helps us purge toxins from our lives. It reveals places where darkness has infiltrated and exposes the effects of that darkness. Pluto requires that we do the work of energy transmutation, in which we change the fundamental elements of that which has become infested. This is an alchemical process, through which we symbolically change lead into gold.

Pluto’s higher purpose always has to do with the reclaiming of power that has been given away or usurped. With Pluto in Capricorn, it is time for each of us to reclaim our authority, to take back the reins of our lives in some way, in some area of life. Wherever we have abdicated our power–whether it has been to other people, the status quo, or even to our own emotional reactivity–we will be feeling the pressure to make deep changes in the months ahead.

AS VENUS squares Pluto on Monday of this week, we may be feeling that pressure either within our personal relationships or in our financial situation, since these are both areas that Venus rules. And, given that this square is still “within orb” (in effect) when Pluto stations on Wednesday, there could be significant developments in these areas throughout the work week.

Adding to the tension, Venus opposes disgruntled Eris on Thursday. This aspect is likely to manifest through literal tugs-of-war between those who were once allies. Venus in Libra may attempt to mollycoddle, placate, or even manipulate the situation to bring about harmony, but Eris in Aries is not likely to be waylaid by tactics of distraction.

TWO PLANETS change signs on Thursday, further indications that we are shifting our perspective as well as our trajectory. Mercury, which represents our capacity for reasoning and our ability to communicate, enters truth-seeking Scorpio, setting aside Libra’s need to see both sides of an argument. Mercury in Scorpio unleashes the investigator aspect of our beings, the part of us that is unafraid of darkness and passionate about finding the answers.

On the other hand, Mars is entering conciliatory Libra on Thursday. In the positive, this placement of Mars–which represents our capacity for individual action and application of personal will–indicates that we are more willing now to work side-by-side with others, to collaborate on mutually-shared agendas. Mars in Libra could also invigorate the need for fairness and equality. But, we will need to be on the watch for the dark side of Libra, which can manifest as indecisiveness and an excessive focus on an “eye-for-an-eye” application of justice.

NEXT WEEKEND appears to be a bit rocky, with several hard aspects involving Mercury in Scorpio. On Saturday, Mercury is quincunx Chiron and semisquare Jupiter, so we are paradoxically both uncertain of what we’re really thinking while also being more likely to blurt out potentially hurtful words without taking the time to consider the ramifications.

Then, on Sunday, Mercury opposes Uranus in Taurus. On one end of this polarity is the planet that represents rational thought, and on the other end is the planet that symbolizes higher consciousness. If we are openminded, this can actually be a great time to open our awareness to receive new insights and inspirations that will lead us forward. However, this opposition can also manifest as very nervous mental energy, making it hard to focus. It may also be a time of fractured thinking and convoluted communications, or problems with computers and other electronic devices.

WITH THE SUN activating the nodal axis on Sunday, this could be a pivotal day in our collective evolutionary process. We should be able to see even more clearly the two choices before us: We can default to the South Node in Capricorn, which draws us into old patterns of fear and control, or we can align with the North Node in Cancer, which opens our hearts in trust and empathy.

As each of us makes our personal choice in the matter, we inform and influence the collective. Do we walk through Door #1 or Door #2? What do we want our legacy to be?

IF YOUR BIRTHDAY IS THIS WEEK: Over this past year, you have been challenged to take a serious look at how your life and your relationships have unfolded. This reality check has required you to consider what you are ready to leave behind and what you want to create going forward. At the same time, you have been healing old wounds that have convinced you that your needs are not as important as the desires of others. As you look back over the past twelve months, you may be able to see where fears have blocked you from making certain choices. Going forward from here, you will have opportunities to act upon the insights you have gained, which will open up your life to new experiences. You may even surprise yourself by making more spur-of-the-moment decisions, a rarity for most Librans! Taking these risks brings new experiences into your life, and helps you see potentials that were once hidden. (Solar Return Sun square Saturn, opposite Chiron, square nodal axis)

In Gratitude and Light,
Pam

of Kelly’s Weekly Forecast

8/11 ~ Uranus Rx 6* TAURUS (until 1.10.2020):
This is the first full retro in Taurus for Uranus so we should settle into an annual rhythm for the next 6-7 years. The personal planets will interact with Uranus in Taurus in a similar way every year that we can conscious co-create with and every year’s annual retrograde is a special time to assimilate the changes you’ve been going through. Uranus is a collective planet and so affects many people and takes 7-years to accomplish its mission in each sign. It will awaken the Taurus department of life (House) and stimulate any of your planets in Taurus/Scorpio or Leo/Aquarius (by default). Also, I’d say here & now is a good time to reflect on the ‘liberating ordeal’ you just went through over the last 7-years as it stimulated & awakened your Aries department. Now that it is truly into Taurus, you can start to reap the benefits and integrate the recent, radical shifts that you’re Identity & Purpose (Aries) have been through and the focus, and thus the lessons & blessings, will now shift to the values & priorities (Taurus) that support that newly awakened Emergent Self and how that works on the ground, in your body, on the Earth, in real time.

Read on for a little more about the Venus Cycle …

Change Is Imminent
Next week, I am hosting a Venus Circle OPEN House, something I always do at the beginning and the MidPoint in her Cycle. Whether you are “into astrology” or not, this is an energetic cycle that we are all navigating. Scorpio’s depths are not always easy to navigate alone, although that is the way it usually is when we’re doing Soul work. Like education & exercise, Soul work is something no one else can do for you. You must do it for your Self, your SoulSelf, who is wanting to lead a little more often going forward. And in order to do that, you’re being prompted from within, to make changes over the course of her cycle.

Rhythm & Repetitive Themes
This is a regular re-evaluation of values & priorities that happens in the Scorpio depths every 8-years and over time, you can start to figure out any repetitive themes in your own life. Last time she did this was in 2010, so that is your frame of reference for now. If that is too big, stick to the last 18-months of evolution and just review that to see where your relationships and/or your finances are in need of some more intense attention or concentrated energy in order to: purify, heal, restore & protect!

Life, Death & Resurrection
Do you feel like your values & priorities have shifted in the last year or two? Do you feel like a ‘new person’ or that you have a new identity, purpose or direction in life that you just became aware of or just gained access to? The last cycle was the upgrade to who you are and what you want on fundamentally basic levels. Because of that *rebirth*, you now have access to new power that must be directed consciously to be useful & effective.

Imbalanced Distribution of Power
In order to maintain a clean connection to your own power you have to do a periodic clearing. What have you postponed the longest? Some people have been focused on relationships, to the neglect of money and others have focused on money to the neglect of relationships. Do you see how hard it is to balance worldly ambition with family & intimate relationships? Things can, and often do, get really out of balance if we don’t check-in on a regular basis.

Here again, is the link to my Venus Article HERE (9-pg/pdf) and if you don’t have time to read all the details, then I suggest you review the bullets on page #3 (About Retro) and page#7 (Scorpio Light/Shadow) and page #8 (Libra Light/Shadow). They will give you the gist in list form.

Once you’ve reviewed the details of what the Venus Retrograde is awakening for one and all, I am hoping you will want to go deeper – with and for yourSelf (with the Reading or Custom Guide or Personal Activations). I also want to encourage you to be part of my ever-expanding Venus Monthly Circle of ongoing, group support ~ as we navigate the same terrain individually, but never alone.

Various Support Tools
All that said, it’s really good to know what Areas of Life (Libra/Scorpio Houses) she lingered in, in your own world, so that you can co-create with her consciously. I also want to mention here that you do not have to join the Venus Circle ($25/mo – Includes Monthly Activations), or get the Custom Guide ($150 – Includes Reading + 18-mo of Personal Activations), or Subscribe to your Monthly Activations ($10/mo) to benefit from the Venus Reading ($150 – Custom Guide is Optional).

Value of the Venus Reading
As a stand-alone reading, you can check-in to see what is being upgraded for you personally and together, we can map out a strategy for navigating the rest of the cycle. Whether you play with us in the Circle or not, the cycle is a natural (and ongoing) rhythm of releasing that which no longer serves (for 9-months) and then consciously claiming a higher level of expression going forward (for 9-months). As you tap into this rhythm, your relationships & finances naturally improve because you are more conscious of your own magnetics, true personal worth and individual values & priorities in the moment.

No One Is Exempt
I hope you’ll consider getting a reading or sharing this invitation with others you think would resonate. Anyone with Taurus/Scorpio or Leo/Aquarius will be most directly affected as she will linger on your planets and create opportunities with every contact. The rest of us will benefit in those Areas of Life ruled by those Signs and so it is still good to check-in, either way. It’s an excellent reading for anyone dealing with serious decisions to make in the relationship or finance departments. Many of us are at a crossroads in these very departments, it’s good to know that there is energy, resources & support for us! Reach out if you need to!

8/14 ~ Venus (beauty & creativity) ~conjunct~ Sun (individuality & Light):
This activates your innate creativity and gets your wheels turning about what you want to express or bring to life in the world, what you want to invest in and be a part of. When Sun contacts Venus, the creativity is centered around you, the individual, however, here as Venus contacts the Sun, it is all about your creations! Use this Solar infusion to brighten and illuminate your self, your surroundings and/or your creative projects. This expands & brightens your magnetic field and opportunities that are just right for you are usually the result. There is a burst of new energy wanting to be expressed through you, and it’s based on your new values & priorities. It is also the beginning of a new creative cycle. Remember that love too is a creative force, so if your relationships are more center-stage than your creative projects, then this too lends new potency to what you create with others. This is a potent seed time and good to allow support & guidance from men and/or the Sacred Masculine within and around you.

8/15 ~ AQUARIUS Full Moon: One reason I wanted to be sure to discuss is because we are on the other side of recent Leo/Aquarius Eclipses and often, once they’ve passed and the dust settles, you start to really see what has changed and/or permanently ended. It’s good to know the Houses in your chart being affected as those will represent the Areas of Life being affected (reach out if you need help figuring out what that is for you). So this Full Moon asks: What have you become “too” attached to? And/or what have you become “too” detached from (and need to reconnect)? We have spent recent months navigating the Mutable energy of thought & ideas (Gemini), along with the Cardinal energy of action & choices (Cancer), whose theme continues but now the energy has become decidedly Fixed and it is time to anchor something … in your Heart (Leo). What ideas have you gotten going that need some tending to make stronger & more viable?

This lunation may illuminate or activate revelations of when, where and with whom (mostly Self) you have not been completely (if at all) authentic. Start with the *motivations* ~ if/when they are pure, clean & neutral, then being authentic becomes less challenging. But when you are not authentic, things become more challenging. Now more than ever, we must be congruent with our Inner & Outer Natures in order to thrive, prosper & evolve. If we are “serving two masters” (or incongruent on one or many levels) ~ having the private side of your nature be too drastically different from that which you present to the world ~ then you’re going to have challenges, blockages and delays until you get into more alignment. Leo energy teaches us all how to BE it (your Authentic Self), not just “appear” to be it; it asks that you know who you are (then next month, Virgo will perfect it ;-)). What has changed on a *fundamental* level (Cancer/Capricorn ~ personal/professional) for you, that has now made you aware of how vital it is to honor your essential nature (Leo/Sun), so you are able to contribute to the whole (Aquarius/Uranus) in a more useful and delicious way? Use this Full Moon to release any inauthenticity or rigid attachment of any kind. It’s also good to tap into your body’s wisdom when things are decidedly “mental” around you. This is the lunation to align your Head & Heart with how it “feels” as what’s really important.

8/16 ~ Mercury (lower mind & ideas) ~square~ Uranus (Higher Mind & awakening):
This energy challenges you to expand your mind or consciousness in a way, pushing you to think differently and respond to information in new ways. Uranus brings sudden ah-ha moments, personal awareness and radical new ideas, which is great for you adventurous souls who thrive on change and new ideas. However, if you are personally attached to your routine and things ‘going as planned’, then this energy can cause aggravation and tax your nervous system because things will seem sudden (even though it is more likely that they have already been brewing under the surface for some time now). You will have to adjust and be more open & mentally flexible than usual. You may not be able to control the excessive mental activity or information-overload coming in, but hopefully you can direct it a bit. It’s good to activate or clean your personal filters by taking some time in nature to process things at your own pace and generally clear your head. This can be a very inspiring & creative time, so try to tune into that, while keeping in mind that anything you begin or get into, may require a review later so you can check over the details of your revelations (or creations). You’re just cracking the surface, this is all about the revelation or awakening, you will eventually have to figure out the logistics or effective actions necessary to bring your ideas into form.
