Highlighted Aspects this Week

TUE: Mercury sesquiquadrate Pluto, Venus trine Saturn
WED: Sun square Saturn
THU: Venus conjunct North Node
FRI: Venus sextile Jupiter
SAT: Mercury conjunct Mars
SUN: Venus quincunx Chiron, Neptune sesquiquadrate Ceres, Saturn biquintile Ceres, Uranus square Ceres, Venus trine Uranus

THE ENERGY WAVE that was initiated by the recent eclipse continues to crest, washing over us and transforming our lives. Although the solar eclipse was seen in totality only in the United States, its effects are clearly being felt worldwide.

The magnitude of current natural events on the planet, and their impact on all of Earth’s inhabitants, is overwhelming. Hurricane Harvey in the U.S., the devastating monsoon floods in South Asia, the high-magnitude earthquake in Mexico, and now hurricane Irma heading north after pummeling island nations in the Caribbean, have all occurred within the lunar cycle that began on August 21.

THE DWARF PLANET CERES was involved in a powerful cardinal grand cross at the time of the eclipse. Ceres represents our need to nurture and protect, and when under stress can manifest as challenges that have the ability to transform the emotional foundation of our lives. With Ceres in security-minded Cancer, the homeland, homes, families, and possessions can become the avenue through which change sweeps.

Ceres has been under continued pressure since the eclipse, when she was in exact opposition to cathartic Pluto. Since then, the dwarf planet has endured challenges from the other planets involved in the grand cross. Ceres finally completes the trials represented by the configuration when she forms a hard aspect to Uranus next Sunday.

Hopefully, as Ceres starts to move out of range of the grand cross planets next week, we also can move out of crisis mode and begin to put our energy into the healing and rebuilding process.

THE OTHER PLANETS also add their voices to the process this week. On Tuesday, a hard Mercury-Pluto aspect brings conflicts out into the open, but an easy Venus-Saturn aspect can help us maintain a sense of stability in the relationships that truly matter.

By Wednesday, we become much more realistic about what we can and cannot accomplish (Sun square Saturn). We’ll need to be careful not to become discouraged, but to interpret any setbacks as an opportunity to know what isn’t working. Once we clearly see the weaknesses in the systems that have failed, we can create stronger structures and make better choices going forward.

NEXT SATURDAY is the third Mercury-Mars conjunction of the current season — a rare occurrence made possible by Mercury’s retrograde phase. The first alignment between the two planets was in watery Cancer on June 28 and the second was in fiery Leo on September 3. This final alignment on September 16 is in down-to-earth Virgo.

While these two planets cross paths every year, their rendezvous this year is especially significant — not only because it’s occurring three times, but because they have tangoed together back and forth across the eclipse degree and seem to be strongly involved in manifestations related to the eclipse themes.

Mercury is the Messenger Planet, representing communication, planning, information, and short-distance journeys. Mars, named for the Roman god of war, symbolizes themes of action, desire, assertiveness, anger, and confrontation. We’ve seen more than our fair share of defensive and dramatic verbal posturing over these past three months. Perhaps as Mercury and Mars make their final alignment in pragmatic Virgo, we can shift course and focus on accomplishing the tasks that will make a real and positive difference in the world.

FIXED STAR NOTE: Jupiter is aligned with two fixed stars this week — Spica and Arcturus. Both of these stars are said to bring fortunate circumstances, but this does not mean we should just sit back and wait for gold to rain from the sky.

As astrologer Roderick Kidston writes, “although good luck can be had with Arcturus, you will still largely make your own luck due to your innate ability, determination, and persistence.” With these alignments occurring in Libra, we may see our efforts in social justice issues bear fruit during this time.

IF YOUR BIRTHDAY IS THIS WEEK: You perceive life very seriously this year, and may make important decisions related to your career and other life goals. Your challenges will be to take projects a step at a time, to have patience, and not to become discouraged when something doesn’t come out perfectly the first time. Fine-tune your methods, find out what does and doesn’t work, and make sure your goals are aligned with your spiritual beliefs. Taking the time to do this enables you to build a solid foundation that will support your future success.
In peace,

Pam

Karen Downing: Integrating the Eclipse Energy

Integrating the Eclipse Energy

How are you feeling post-eclipse? The energies have been taxing, as they are upping our light quotient by more than ever before. As our physical body integrates the light body upgrade taking place, we can be fatigued, dizzy, and experience a deep emotional purging.

The light body expels all that is not in resonance with it. That energy can be from this life, past lives, lives lived prior to this planet, and even collective soul group energies. If it is anything other than hope, trust, acceptance, and love, then it’s gotta go.

During this purging process, some of you will have encountered a deep sadness, anger, or fear bubbling to the surface. These emotions can remain buried in the body under layer upon layer of past life experience. It takes a strong energetic event, such as an eclipse, to “close the door on the past,” and release from within us, all we no longer need.

Some people will experience more of a physical release process like changing jobs, living situations, relationships, or health practices. Whatever the eclipse is bringing up for you, know that what you are feeling is temporary, and is only a reflection of that which your Ego/Self has kept locked away from you. The more you find out about the hidden inventory of your own Ego, the better equipped you are to move forward in your life with confidence and joy. The Ego can be your friend or your worst nightmare. If you work with your Ego to extract all it is holding on to, the better off you will be.

Think of your Ego as a well-meaning friend. They may not always give the best advice, but often, if you look into the words and phrases they use, you can gain inspiration about how they are attempting to assist you. The Ego is much the same as that friend and will tend to give advice and guidance to you based on either a proactive avoidance of situations or a reactive explosion to them. Each of the past life patterns has proactive and reactive expressions to how it handles different situations, and those extreme expressions hold hints as to how your Ego is trying to help you.

The Ego holds on to vast reserves of past life energy, and in its quest to avoid repeating the trauma of the past, it will influence you through fear or anger, as a warning sign that you are venturing dangerously close to past life trauma. But, the thing is, to truly avoid repeating our past life traumas, we must touch the energy of them. We need to bring to the surface all that the Ego would prefer to remain hidden; all of the fear, traumas, and challenging energy. We have to get in it, to get out of it.

When your Ego has you locked in the energy of judgment, guilt, shame, or fear, use that emotion as an anchor to deep dive into all aspects of what you are truly feeling. If you do not get the energy out, it continues to inform the Universe, and you will attract the situations in alignment with your fears. This deep dive process is one of the most valuable tools at your disposal to learn how to transform your energy and emotional state at any time. When you deep dive, you reclaim your emotional state, that is where true personal power and sovereignty dwell: in knowing who you are.

The energy of the eclipse is bringing forth those energetic aspects that the Ego would wish to remain hidden, but they cannot. It is time to explore them and release them for good. We all have an Ego to wrestle with; it is sly and crafty, but definitely not logical. It is an emotional energy and can fool us into thinking we have it all figured out. To accept that we do not is one big part of learning how to navigate your Ego as best you can.

Now is the time to heal the past. Now is the time to invest time and energy in yourself. Now is the time to explore all the hidden details of who you truly are. There is no time like the present, and the more you actively participate in this healing and release, the better able you will be to gently pass through these eclipse energies. If you choose to ignore this process or subconsciously decide that you do not wish to help yourself, you are in for a much longer ride. The choice is yours. Are you willing to do what it takes to clear out the emotional residue, or will you just wait for another time when things are better, or you feel right? If you wait on that, the Ego will have you forever fooled.

Jamye Price: Peace Eclipses Chaos

Peace Eclipses Chaos

The August eclipse has had an interesting flow. Now that it has occurred, the information I was receiving prior is much clearer. First a little background, so that we are aware of the opportunities and challenges as well. It was a powerfully positive energy!

Out With The Old Chaos

In the August monthly energies video and article, we were shown the amplification of connective, loving intent as our infinite Love ignites. We also covered some of the negatives that the eclipse has the possibility to help us reset. The Charlottesville protest and was a loud indicator of what is surfacing for healing. One facet.

When you look for the clues of improvement, you see that humanity is awakening into more peace. It won’t happen overnight and it won’t all be easy. But peace is igniting. It is the core of what the masses want, but the masses have not previously understood their power clearly.

The astrological assistance has been pretty consistent for years of stirring up the power systems that have suppressed the soul of humanity from igniting more Love into the world. Those systems aren’t letting go easily, but change is inevitable. The current energies offer us a renewal of intent to focus the future.

In With The New Peace

When the eclipse occurred, the energy was palpable. I was genuinely astonished at the difference in the energy. As it began, there was a stillness and peace. I listened to birds chirping, feeling that beautiful peace and I felt the collective call. It was interesting, because there has been quite a bit of turmoil in the collective energies leading up to it. The lunar eclipse surfaced what was beneath, and the solar eclipse brought Light deep within. The energy was crystal clear. Peace will prevail.

The inherent pull of Life is Love. When the masculine and feminine energy within is balanced, courageous compassion and inclusive protection lead choices. Unity consciousness becomes how you make choice. Deception and domination have no power in the empowered.

What does peace look like to you? As you allow your imagination to envision new potentials for humanity, you are adding information into the collective potentials. Change is a constant in the physical realm. In this year of The Empowered Sovereign, Life is asking you to flow your unique intent of a loving future into the physical realm.

Question The Future

This eclipse anchored a powerful potential that is now our inner work to actualize. In the August monthly energies teleclass, there was a simple yet powerful question. What does my soul want? Ask yourself that and allow the answers to form gently through you as you Love Life.

Anchor The Answer

It’s never been said better than, “Be the change you wish to see in the world.” That deep truth is what creates the actual change. It’s not an eclipse, a Lion’s Gate or assistance from off-world beings. It’s you.

As you allow your soul to lead, your potentials are Divine.

Timothy Glenn ~ Eclipsing Our Reality | Laura Bruno’s Blog

Timothy Glenn ~ Eclipsing Our Reality | Laura Bruno’s Blog

This just in from astrologer, numerologist and author, Timothy Glenn, along with a short note/trigger warning:

Eclipsing Our Reality

By Timothy Glenn

We have been hearing lots of hubbub around the subject of the August 2017 eclipses, the opening of the lion’s gate, and especially the anticipated impact of the August 21st total solar eclipse on the United States.

First there will be two warm up exercises. Depending on where you are on the planet, the lunar eclipse will occur at 15 degrees Aquarius on August 7th or 8th. This will be followed by the Perseid meteor shower, which will peak on August 12th. These events will set the stage for the main attraction.

As the meteor shower is ending, Mercury will go into its famous retrograde phase. This lunar eclipse in Aquarius will stir a collective desire for a radically improved world, and the Mercury retrograde will suggest that we let go of our preprogrammed ideas as to what social actions will “fix” the dysfunctions of our current society.

Fake Moons

New moons or full moons: they’re all fake moons. In December of 1995, I was asked to do a channeling session for an astrological society. Proterrian asked the audience of about a hundred, “How many of you are open to the ‘theory’ that your moon is not really your moon, but rather an artificial orb placed in an artificial orbit around your planet for the purpose of keeping human emotions under control?” With no hesitation, about 95% of the astrologers raised their hands.

When mentioning this in subsequent years, it has helped to edit the term “under control” to “within certain parameters”.

This has colored my work as an astrologer. There is no denying the powerful influence of the moon, because it was designed to have a profound effect on this world and everyone in it. However, not seeing that artificial space station as our friend, there is no way to recommend playing into its energies. That definitely includes the times we experience eclipses.

Hmm…elaboration requires a separate article…later.

A wise old astrologer once said: “Your stars are not there to master you. You are here to master your stars.” Along this line, your moon is not there to dictate your emotional states. You are here to transcend the emotional programming it inflicted on you.

Dark Shadows

As the total solar eclipse casts its shadow, we could interpret this as something artificial blocking out that which is natural. Why doesn’t a cosmic referee blow the whistle and call interference?

But let’s refer back to Buckminster Fuller’s recommendation: “Don’t fight forces, use them.”

We can use this total solar eclipse as an astringent, to draw forth unhealed gunk from our subconscious, both individually and collectively. There are still compressed files of limiting matrix data within us, waiting to be unzipped, so the contents and their issues can finally be resolved.

From my article 2017: Welcome to the Twilight Zone:

“Carl Gustav Jung recommended that we integrate the shadow. All around us, we see unresolved issues oozing or erupting out of people, and the planetary transmutation process will amplify this phenomenon as everything intensifies throughout the year. Those who have done shadow work will be glad they did.”

A truly brilliant observation by Jung is expressed in his well known quote:

“One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious.”

Truth Will Out

With Uranus offering a tight trine to the solar eclipse, facets of our collective shadow will become significantly more visible. We have used expressions like the deep state or the shadow government, and the time has come for humanity to step up and face the music. Humans as a species have an amazingly deep and dark shadow side.

The old guard of the planetary management system has been trying desperately to maintain its public façade, but the Uranus influence here wants to reveal the truth.

The fluffy “it’s all good” crowd will be challenged to look at our collective shadow: war, murder, poverty, rape, conquest, exploitation, abuse, deception, human trafficking, organ harvesting, pedophilia, child sacrifice and on and on and on. None of this could manifest in our world without our acquiescence, so now the human race will have a huge wave of responsibility plopped onto its collective lap.

The Planetary Data Dump

Independent researchers, journalists and investigators have been unearthing massive troves of data to expose the workings of the political, religious and economic machine that has long held humanity in abject slavery. This eclipse season will give their efforts a welcome boost. But what will so many typical Earthlings do when their favorite political figures and entertainers are revealed as the criminals they have been all along? Suggestion: deal with it.

My friend Inelia Benz has long emphasized that we can always reserve the right to say no. When any set of possibilities is proffered, we are under no obligation to acquiesce. And no, hundreds of millions of us do not wish to continue tolerating a fear-based illusion being imposed upon us as though it were Reality.

No, we will no longer put up with an artificial Matrix that keeps us from experiencing the Natural Universe and flowing with its love-based Reality.

Truth will out. May we bolster enough courage to face it.

Timothy Glenn

UPDATE from Laura: OK, I’ve received enough commentary and private emails to list my own comment up here. Whether or not the Moon is real or an artificial satellite need not rock your world. I suppose it could for many people, but it doesn’t need to, even if you’re pagan or into Goddess/Moon worship. There are enough positive effects that the Moon does — tides, temperate climates, agricultural support — to argue that if artificial, it was originally added to make Earth more habitable but was then co-opted like so many other things. My point in posting this article was to nudge people into greater awareness of energies and utilizing them for your own purposes instead of being slaves to external forces.

Emmanuel Dagher: The Eclipse Energies

My soul friend,

As mentioned in the August forecast, the energies are high, and they are about to be turned up even higher.

When this much electricity is in the air, it offers us an opportunity to take action towards creating the reality of our choice.

In the next 24 hours, a Lunar Eclipse will give us the opportunity to release and let go of the the things that no longer feel in alignment. It will also help us to illuminate ourselves from within, which helps to build our confidence to share our gifts and light with the world.

For the next 2 weeks leading up to the Solar Eclipse, things will be intensified to help us clear out everything that no longer serves our highest good. The key during this time is to nurture and take extra care of yourself physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. The pinnacle of these highly active energies will be reached on August 21 at 2:30 pm Eastern Time, when we will experience a total solar eclipse.

A solar eclipse is one of the best times to heal, because it lights up everything and brings it to the surface so that it can be addressed completely. An eclipse also always brings with it an energetic upgrade so that new passions, gifts and experiences can be expressed and shared.

I decided to begin the upcoming 21 Days of Healing series in conjunction with the Solar Eclipse so that the healing and transformation each member experiences during this series reaches a completely new level of extraordinary!

If you would like to be part of the 21 Days of Healing series which begins in less than 2 weeks, come on over to:

Meanwhile, the free 1 hour audio healing Achieving the Impossible is available for 1 more week at the link mentioned above. If you are using an apple product (Ipad or Iphone) they have a glitch in their system so you may need to download several times before the audio plays in full.

Eclipse Energies and the Unified Field of the New Time by D.L. Zeta

Eclipse Energies and the Unified Field of the New Time by D.L. Zeta

September 10, 2016

The energies of the Sept. 16 full moon eclipse in Pisces are already filtering in, helping anchor and amplify the new time on planet Earth. This is the third in a rare triad of eclipses that began with the Aug. 18 lunar eclipse in Aquarius and amped up with the Sept. 1 solar eclipse in Virgo. These two recent eclipses set in place a unified field of love, cooperation and peace. Over the next few days, this field will be amplified by the powerful lunar eclipse.

The lunar eclipse in Pisces may initially give rise to feelings of anger and you may have the sense of pushing against limitations and old thought patterns that are holding you in place. These energies hold the power to help us gain clarity and insight into our lives and to enter a place of greater humility, compassion, love and forgiveness. Self-forgiveness is especially important as we gain awareness of ways we have allowed ourselves to remain in old habits and patterns.

This is not a time to be concerned with the past, but a time to look to new potentials and allow yourself to be guided toward what excites you and feeds you at all levels, mind, body and soul. Set the intention to align with the unified field of this amazing energetic time, and to harness the energies of this time to empower your visions and transport you further into the new time.

The Transformative Power of Eclipses

A lunar eclipse occurs during a full moon when the earth moves exactly between the sun and moon, effectively short-circuiting their natural connection. The lunar eclipse occurs at 24° Pisces and its effects are being experienced by many. The effects of eclipses can be felt three months or more prior to an eclipse and for up to a year afterward.

Eclipses are major turning points at both the collective and individual levels. The sign of an eclipse offers clues as to the themes that are due for a change. At the personal level, the planets and houses impacted by an eclipse offer insights into the transformative changes that beacon to us on the road ahead.

During the Sept. 16 lunar eclipse, we are asked collectively and individually to examine if anything stands in the way of our spiritual expansion, visions and ability to receive the love and abundance that is our natural birthright. Pisces is compassionate, adaptable, creative, imaginative, sensitive and accepting. These are some of the ingredients needed at this time to help shift humanity. It is time to jettison old beliefs and world views that limit and enslave us and prevent us from recognizing our true spiritual nature and identity.

Our Astrology Chart Depicts the Personal Impact of an Eclipse

Everyone feels the effects of an eclipse differently. The type of impact and its intensity and duration depends on where an eclipse falls in a person’s astrology chart. If an eclipse falls within 3° of a planet or an important point in your chart by conjunction or opposition, it is of special significance to you. The nature of the planet impacted by the eclipse offers clues to the experiences that lie ahead.

The energies of a lunar eclipse have a way of magnifying any unresolved emotional issues so we can shine the light of our present-moment awareness on them. Our spiritual communion and insights are intensified during a full moon and even more so during a lunar eclipse, heightening our powers of spiritual perception. Combined, these allow us to heal and release emotional energy held in past traumas.

Navigating by Intuitive Knowing during the Eclipse

Shifting emotions during this time make it difficult to navigate in our usual way. It’ll be necessary for us to stay tuned to our intuitive knowing to understand the energetic shifts that will take place over the next few days. This is a good time to examine our beliefs and observe if we hold any beliefs that are limiting us from experiencing our true path of joy.

You may notice during this time odd and chaotic events unfolding in the world around you. You may witness others struggling with the intense energies of this time. Whatever is going on around you, hold in awareness that the powerful energies are affecting others as well. Entering a place of observing without acting is wise during this time. It is also wise to refrain from making major life decisions during this period.

Interpreting the Symbols of Events Unfolding during an Eclipse

It is helpful to observe details of events that happen during this time and interpret the symbols of these events just as you when interpret the symbols of a dream. This is a good technique to use any time, but the heightened energies of the eclipse make this time ripe for powerful insights and breakthroughs that can change the course of one’s life.

Coming Home to Center

This is a time to examine the ways in which we may be overextended. In order to step more fully into the new time it’s important to build a strong foundation to support our explorations in consciousness. It may be challenging to build this foundation when we are overextended in ways that drain our energy and distract our focus. Thought viruses, for example, tend to capture and enslave our attention in ways that are both depleting and destructive. As we bring our energy into harmony and balance and focus it toward fulfilling our spiritual purpose, we are able to make the most of the opportunities afforded by this eclipse.

Visiting the Unified Field in Consciousness

This eclipse signals a time when the veils between dimensions thin and we’re more able to tune into cosmic energy radiated by high spiritual beings, and from the stars and constellations that radiate very high spiritual energy. The full moon is a time when people of every spiritual path join together in consciousness to focus spiritual energy needed to build a world of justice, unity, love and peace. Everyone everywhere is able to join the unified field of this time in consciousness. Even if you are unable to tune in at the exact time of the eclipse (3:05 pm EST on Sept. 16), you can enter a meditative state anytime in the next few days and allow yourself to be transported.

NorthPoint ASTROLOGY JOURNAL: Your Guide to Planetary Energies for August 22 to 28, 2016 By Pam Younghans

Highlighted Aspects This Week
MON: Mercury conjunct Jupiter, Neptune trine Vesta, Sun enters Virgo, Sun sesquiquadrate Pluto
TUE: Mars sesquiquadrate Uranus
WED: Mars conjunct Saturn, Venus opposite Chiron
THU: Venus quincunx Uranus, Mars square Neptune
SAT: Venus conjunct Jupiter, Sun trine Ceres
SUN: Mercury conjunct Venus

IF WE TOOK A SURVEY, I would guess that many would say last week’s “not-an-eclipse” felt very eclipse-like! Perhaps you also had surprising events occur, or felt the pressure of the shifting energies, or sensed that karmic events were unfolding — all signs of eclipse activity.

As those who attend my teleclasses know, besides looking at planetary influences, I also like to pull a tarot card for each month. The card I pulled for August was The Tower. Here’s a partial description of that card, taken from Voyager Tarot by James Wanless:

“The Tower, symbolizing the law of purification, is a revolutionary self-cleansing. What is being purified is our egos and the structures we build to support our vanity. In reality this is but a ‘tower of babel,’ a house of cards destined to be destroyed. Big mouths are always taken down in the end.

“The tower represents the highest point of observation. From the unobstructed view, you are able to see yourself clearly. This awareness is the fire of purification. Move away from your daily world of habitual living and see yourself with new clarity.

‘It is through disintegration that union results. Out of the fire of transmutation is fashioned a new soul and a new life.”

THIS COMING WEEK is another barn-burner, although in a slightly different way. Mars is coming into alignment with Saturn in Sagittarius, and is activating the effects of the Saturn-Neptune square. Since last November, we’ve been working with this challenging influence, as the planets compel us to release ancient karmic patterns that have limited our perceptions and interfered with our spiritual growth.

With this influence in effect, we may feel frustrated and confused about what actions to take. But, we can also successfully combine effort and patience, if we are acting in agreement with our highest values and beliefs. We will need to be very conscious about where we put our energy, and to streamline our efforts if we have spread ourselves too thin.

PROBLEMS may arise if we try to figure it all out from a purely human or left-brain perspective. Neptune, when in hard aspect to Mars, beckons us to rise above an ego-based viewpoint and to find our answers and solutions on a soul level. We may feel disillusioned and disappointed if we see events solely through the eyes of the personality.

In discussing the effect of the Saturn-Neptune square — which is very strong now through mid-September — astrologer Nick Anthony Fiorenza writes that:

“This period impels us to recognize and shed any fear-based, self-sabotaging ways of being we may have been using to hide behind or that keep us from living with a greater freedom of being, free from any repetitive patterns of the past. We find that the constrictive patterns we once sought solace in are no longer of value, or simply no longer work.”

OPTIMISTIC Jupiter is on hand to assist us through this demanding time. Jupiter aligns with Mercury in Virgo on Monday, helping us be both practical and visionary. New ideas and solutions may come forward with this alignment.

Jupiter then aligns with Venus next Saturday, increasing our awareness of those supportive beings — both physical and nonphysical — who are helping us in very tangible ways. This influence carries into Sunday as well, when Mercury and Venus are exactly in sync, opening new avenues of communication that will guide our steps going forward.

Also in effect this week is a harmonious aspect between Neptune and the asteroid Vesta. This combination strengthens our commitment to holding a spiritual perspective, and enables us to more effectively release emotional issues that are causing instability.

IF YOUR BIRTHDAY IS THIS WEEK: You will have many options before you this year, and therefore will be making important choices about how you want to proceed. Qualities such as discipline, perseverance, and organization will be required in these choices, especially since you will also be dealing with a fair amount of uncertainty. This is a good year to focus on your long-term goals, and to be ready with alternate routes if circumstances change.

In peace,

alien-445408_1280 18th August 2016 (9:28 a.m. UT): Full Moon in 26th degree of Aquarius: Living Life On Purpose By Sarah Varcas Occurring a day before the next eclipse season begins (19th August – 23rd September), this Full Moon is an ‘almost-but-not-quite’ lunar eclipse, giving it greater influence and a stronger ‘edge’ against which to hone our awareness. Eclipse seasons are powerful things, to be honoured with our full attention, deepest respect and steadfast commitment to respond to their gifts and graces, challenges and obstacles. They kick-start otherwise lagging change, up-turn certainties and awaken issues and themes which shape the following six months. If we pay attention during these times we may well discover the deepest truths of our lives and receive the most influential and personal guidance. Think of them as a cosmic crash course in what our life is really about, minus all the fluff and bluster we add to it on a daily basis! For this reason, a Full Moon occurring just prior to the beginning of an eclipse season is of particular note, for it comes as a wake-up call that something of great import is in the air. If this Full Moon closely aspects a natal planet we may well experience it as carrying much of the power and potential of an eclipse even though it doesn’t quite ‘make the grade’ in that respect. In any event, this Full Moon raises issues which will impact the coming eclipse season and offers guidance to bear in mind throughout the coming weeks. In Aquarius, it illuminates mental habits and unconscious tendencies which keep us stuck in rigid patterns of thought, belief and behaviour. If we’ve been wondering why we can’t seem to get it together and do what’s needed to make that long overdue change, it reveals how we keep ourselves in chains, blinkered to truths just outside our awareness and mired in self-sabotage. It may be a rude awakening, especially if the stark lunar light reveals it is we who have painted ourselves into a corner, not external circumstances conspiring against us. Whilst such insights are a bitter pill to swallow, this is just the first stage: a nudge from the universe to embrace our past selves, not chastise them. Self-blame will get us nowhere, so whatever comes to light around the time of this Full Moon must be met by a gentle and loving heart, not a hardened and critical one. This Moon may come with loneliness, a sense of being misunderstood. If we can resist taking things too personally it will go a long way to not letting these feelings rule the day and create mountains out of molehills! There’s a fair bit of tension around and many will be feeling it, so cutting each other (and ourselves) some serious slack is good advice! If possible, avoid heated topics of debate and focus on things that unite rather than divide, otherwise it may be all too easy to slip into overzealous championing of our own perspective without any due consideration of someone else’s view. Conflict seeded now may grow at an alarming rate, producing painful fruit in September when we have two eclipses and the next exact conjunction between Uranus and Eris. However, this Full Moon potentises all efforts made to calm troubled waters, expand our perspective and foster connections that nourish rather than polarise, enabling meaningful interactions with others despite any difficult circumstances. Uranus, ruler of Aquarius, shapes this Moon. Offering the opportunity to break free from old ties and reinvent ourselves, it reminds us nothing is set in stone as long as we seek always to release that which binds us in the very moment it does so. Not a week, a month, or years down the line, but immediately – freeing past pain, old beliefs and habits, behaviours that sabotage us and conditions that keep us stuck. Sometimes we have to dig deep, working long and hard to let go, but throughout the coming eclipse season we have a precious opportunity to release, moment by moment, whatever holds us back. Practice not allowing anything to stick in your energy field. Visualise it as flowing water, rushing wind. See its constant motion. By identifying with the trials of life, buying into their drama instead of claiming our freedom, we create substance where movement should be, calcifying thoughts and feelings unnecessarily. Recognising and reversing this process is key to profound and lasting change. The mind is both our liberator and our jailer now. If we allow it to oppress us with demands for ever greater ‘proof’ of this or that, evermore detail to justify what we know instinctively to be true, we will tie ourselves in mental knots that drain our energy and produce no useful outcomes. But if we can expand our mind to embrace possibilities previously discounted, to consider life from new angles, we could experience liberation like never before. The veils between the egoic and higher minds are paper thin now and we can break through so easily, with just the slightest effort, if we choose. However we feel at this juncture, we can rest assured there are new perspectives just waiting to be seen, something we simply haven’t perceived about our situation which can revolutionise the path ahead. We may, however, be too distracted to take ourselves in hand. An accumulation of stress and anxiety, despair or depression – even the tedious boredom of a life lived in black and white – can all keep us from recognising the power of the present moment and the alchemical force unleashed when we live it fully and without regret. We may have invested too much energy in anticipation of an ideal future when everything magically falls into place, not realising the magic is us, living on purpose, with clear intent and for the greater good right now. This Moon has little time for fears and failings, excuses and justifications. It simply wants us to get a grip and move ahead by arriving fully in the present, with our power intact and our resolve firm and clear. If we find ourselves resistant at this Moon, wrestling with external pressures that threaten to change our course, discernment is vital. We cannot and do not live apart from the world and must attend always to the constant feedback loop which occurs between us and our environment both near and far. Sometimes we must stand firm in the face of external pressures. At other times those very pressures are the touch of the divine reminding us we may be losing our way, drifting off track or blind to something we cannot afford to ignore. If resistance energises and clarifies intent, it is probably keeping us on track. If it drains us and destroys our peace, distracting from positive action which could blow the cobwebs away, we may well be resisting the very thing that will set us free. Beware the seduction of certainty in the face of current confusion. It can only ever be a thin veneer atop an infinitely complex existence beyond anyone’s power to fully understand. Knowing it’s okay not to know, being at peace with paradox, embracing with an open heart all insights gleaned, even that we’ve been wrong all along: these are important elements of our preparation for the weeks ahead. Avoid the tendency to act out rather than turn within. Many people are feeling over-stimulated mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. It would be easy to take our stress out on the people around us now, but every moment in which we soften around the tension, turn toward another not away from them, seek common ground not battleground, is a blessing bestowed upon the world around us. This isn’t an ‘easy’ Moon, but it is a liberating one for sure, with gifts galore for all who commit to seeing life through fresh eyes, not allowing the tyranny of a ‘tried and tested’ past to jeopardise a creative and fulfilling future. If, however, we give in to lethargy that says ‘nothing ever really changes, life’s just too much trouble and anything else is wishful thinking’ then the coming eclipse season may have to jolt us rudely awake, compelling us to live life on purpose ‘or else’! The changes approaching now require bold commitment and creative courage which seeks new solutions to old problems and dares to challenge the very foundation of our life. The choice is leap now or be pushed later. But either way we have to shift at some point!! This Moon says best get it on with it, for it’s simply no longer an option to continue standing still. 18th August 2016 (9:28 a.m. UT): Full Moon in 26th degree of Aquarius: Living Life On Purpose By Sarah Varcas

Occurring a day before the next eclipse season begins (19th August – 23rd September), this Full Moon is an ‘almost-but-not-quite’ lunar eclipse, giving it greater influence and a stronger ‘edge’ against which to hone our awareness.

Highlighted Aspects:

MON: Jupiter trine Mercury, Uranus conjunct Sun, Saturn quincunx Mars; TUE: Pluto square Mercury; WED: Uranus conjunct Mercury, Jupiter stations direct; THU: Saturn sesquisquare, Saturn sesquisquare Mercury, Sun conjunct Mercury; SAT: Venus enters Gemini, Neptune semisquare Mercury, Pluto sesquisquare Venus; SUN: Neptune sextile Mars, Uranus semisquare Venus

THE INFLUX OF ENERGY
that accompanied yesterday’s Lunar Eclipse has not yet abated — and that makes sense, since two of the strongest aspects in the eclipse chart are still very strong as we begin our new week. The Sun is exactly square Pluto today (Sunday, April 5) and then aligns exactly with Uranus tomorrow (Monday, April 6).

We’ve gotten pretty familiar with the energy signatures of Pluto and Uranus over the past three years. We know that Pluto in Capricorn awakens powerful drives within us, often directed toward fulfilling our life goals and purpose. Under this influence, many old patterns and existing life structures are dismantled so that greater fulfillment and empowerment may be achieved. We’re also aware that when we’re working with Pluto, we tend to feel more passionately and react more instinctively than our usual comfort zone might allow.

AND THEN there’s Uranus, aptly known as “the god of chaos.” Uranus in Aries provides the restlessness, the urge to be doing something — perhaps anything — new, and the courage, rebelliousness or foolhardiness that breaks us free from the confines of our life situations. When we’re working with Uranus, others may judge us as selfish. In truth, we may be more self-oriented than usual, especially if we’ve been living our lives according to the needs or expectations of others.

With Uranus, we feel the urgent need to play the game by our own rules. We want to find our own unique form of self-expression, unfettered by the “shoulds” that others, or society, or even we ourselves have held up as requirements.

THESE THEMES continue to be strong over the first half of the coming week. After the Sun moves out of reach of the Pluto-Uranus energy field, Mercury steps in, squaring Pluto on Tuesday and aligning with Uranus on Wednesday.

It’s likely to be a bit like a Mercury-retrograde experience, where we need to be flexible and “expect the unexpected.” Do your best to let go of your preconceptions, and take life symbolically rather than literally whenever possible.

JUPITER stations direct on Wednesday, wrapping up its four-month retrograde phase. Since early December, Jupiter has been helping us turn inward to access our deeper wisdom, to rebuild our faith in ourselves, and to gain greater clarity about what we truly believe in.

As Jupiter begins its forward motion this week and gradually picks up speed in the weeks ahead, we may find it easier to manifest our hopes and dreams externally, especially those that are ruled by the house in our natal charts that contains 21 degrees Leo, where Jupiter is currently located.

Here’s what astrologer Bil Tierney writes about Jupiter stationing direct, in his book Dynamics of Aspect Analysis:

“When Jupiter finally turns direct, we adopt fresh, new attitudes concerning how we can enrich and elevate our associations with others in our community. Our participation can become more purposeful and fulfilling, in which we gain greater social acceptance while still remaining true to the needs of our spirit.”

THE REST of the week offers a wide variety of planetary energies. In general, Saturn rules the day on Thursday, requiring that we be very clear in our communications and be patient with differences of opinion.

In contrast to Saturn’s effect, Neptune joins the game on Saturday and Sunday, softening our logical minds so that we might receive information more intuitively, and then helping us use what we have learned as we move forward.

And, relationships and values may go through changes over the weekend, as Venus enters Gemini and forms minor challenging aspects with both Pluto and Uranus. What we learn from others may alter our trajectory in positive ways, if we stay open-minded and allow the transformation to occur.

In peace,

Pam
